Now During the season Luka hated being in L.A. and wasn’t going to resign and didn’t look and happy and was gonna be another Dwight.

I keep pointing to Lamar Odom former lottery pick with all the talent and skill two teams gave up on him even if one of those teams was getting Shaq

He completely changed his game approach when he got here and played with Kobe did we get Odom at this age 26? Or was it 24??? But he won a 6th man of the year award. One of the best lakers we’ve ever had in our history and won two championships with Kobe. Kobe doesn’t win those championships without Odom. We dont win those championships without Odom.

Maybe we see that kind of turnaround with Ayton. He will be around Luka and Lebron every day make sure you’re the first one in the building. And I would just tell him work hard. Just grind.

Dwight did it. Find a role. The difference here we don’t need a guy to average 28-10 be Ayton give us a strong 15-12 be the force. Pick hard role hard and finish at the rim.

We aren’t expecting you to be Rasheed Wallace and Shaq and scream. Do you.

Tim Duncan was one of the biggest forces in the league saying four words. It’s an island thing.

Ayton dominated in the 2021 playoffs only player in NBA history to shoot 60% from the field and average 15 points. That’s clutch.

I’m really excited to see this pairing with JJ Reddick. Because I think JJ Reddick can do alot with him and get a lot out of him.

But like 25 points 15 rebounds

    24 points 22 rebounds.

He was beasting Shaq like numbers.

Him and Luka together both 26 is scary.

cause Ayton is ten times better then any Center Luka played with Derick Lively.

Ayton has good handles to him. Very skilled in the mold of the new center you see. So wouldn’t be surprised with those AD sets for Lebron if he goes back to them. Should be familiar with playing with him.

Lauruvia could be an our Kuzma but a way better ball handler then Kuzma. I think if he went to the Wizards he could average 23 points and 8 rebounds.

kind of reminds me when Portland got Avilla and he exploded.

we got shooters around Luka LeBron and Ayton

Knect who I think will improve Laruvia Hachimura.

Sounds like it's just our side of the Thiero trade with Minny. Although if there was a time to loop in a trade for Richards @ our BAE, this would be a good time to do that.

I wish there was a way to get Diabate, up out of Charlotte. This guy is going to be a quality defensive wing for years IMO. I checked in on a Denver/Charlotte game, to get a bead on Williams, but this guy jumped off the screen to me, and was giving Jokic fits.

    Spencer Dinwiddie heading to Charlotte

The Hornets are adding Spencer Dinwiddie on a one-year deal, a league source tells our Christian Clark. That tells you a couple things about Charlotte: First, that the Hornets don't really view Collin Sexton as a point guard off the bench, and second, that a few guys on the fringes a year ago are probably not long for this roster.

Josh Okogie has a non-guaranteed deal for $7.5 million; with the Hornets already having 15 guaranteed contracts plus the non-guaranteed deal of energizer Moussa Diabate and a likely roster deal for second-rounder Ryan Kalkbrenner, he would seem to be an easy choice to move on from. Additionally, Pat Connaughton, whom the Hornets are acquiring from Milwaukee, is on the books for $9.4 million but could be headed for a buyout if his contract can't be used in another trade, and 2023 first-rounder Nick Smith Jr. seems to be in a tenuous position; the team acquired three other guards in the offseason (Dinwiddie, Sexton and lottery pick Kon Knueppel) and is bringing back Tre Mann.

Charlotte is also in a position to make more additions; the Hornets will be roughly $17 million from the tax line if they move on from Okogie and the non-guaranteed DaQuan Jeffries, and they still have access to their entire $14.1 million nontaxpayer midlevel exception. Given that the NTMLE can also operate as a trade exception, Charlotte may utilize this to take on a Connaughton-esque salary dump in return for more draft capital.

Thank you for this information. I like Okogie as a defensive wing. Connaughton could be another interesting option. I don't know much about DaQuan Jeffffries.

On the FA front, great job, Rob! If Ayton flames out, I won't blame him. Can't help it. For the value of $8 million, he got the best center on the market.

Wings? I like Melton and Coffee. Payton could work, too. I'm into wingspan. Melton has a 6'11 wingspan, which turns me on. Coffee doesn't have the physical and wasn't great defensively, but I think he could play and be a helpful piece off the bench.

I think we're going to add Hayes as the backup; however, I was listening to Jovan today and he brought up something interesting: since the bi-annual can be used as a trade piece, Nick Richards makes $5 million. He could slide right into the BAE. Thoughts?

Hoping the injury risk bumps him down to a minimum. But like the player, fit and skillset.

Dame coming to the defense of future teammate

I like each of them. They would be of value for cheap.

I want to make sure Horford is going to GS first. Once that shoe drops, Richards is about as good as we can do for the price. He's a good backup who can level up to a starter when Ayton is out with an injury.
