Deandre Milton be that lock down defending guard. Be that guard who can hit his three pointers.

Jaxson Hayes come back and be our Center off the bench providing length.

do we actually have the BAE? we're hardcapped a the first apron, and i think the ayton/laravia money gets us close.

honestly, a vet min guard addition, and i'm fine to roll, armed with 25 million in expirings and all our picks.

i'd like melton, but really just anyone better than shake.

 

Out of the above, I’d offer the BAE in the following order:

Horford (probably GSW)
Melton
CP3 (probably LAC)
Boucher (Philly?)
GP2 (Back to GSW?)
Ben Simmons (Knicks?)

Assuming we get Melton. I’d like to improve at the starting 3 spot.

A package of Rui and Gabe conveniently fits Wiggins’ salary. Herb Jones is 14m, so Gabe + Knecht fits that. Keegan Murray is 11m. Could we swing 2 trades and clear up some of these expiring that don’t contribute a ton? Get a 3&D SF and a backup C.

I always liked Frank. He’ll have their defense top shelf. Rob screwed him his last season here with that sewage pond roster.

I really like all our starting 5 players individually, but I'm personally not confident in that starting 5 defensively.

I think we make a trade for another 2 way wing at the very least

there is not a single player in that starting 5 you could argue is a really good defender.

 

I would try to use the BAE in a trade, we can do that and basically helps whatever teams save in payroll which should reduce the package we need to send. I'm not sure if it can be used in multi-player trade, though

We definitely need to trade for a defensive minded player for the 5th spot. Luka, AR, Bron and Ayton are too good offensively, Rui makes less sense with that group.
On the other hand, any guy of the starting lineup can give you 20 any given night

 

There's talent, though. Maybe being around Luka and LeBron will motivate. It's worth the risk, especially if it's a position of dire, dire need. Slam dunk signing, all things considered.

 

GP 2 is a good player to have and fits a big need for the Lakers in terms of what the team is lacking.
He fixes the POA defensive problems although you run into offensive issues when he's on team (that being said I have tbh if you're running an ayton/luka/lebron/ar lineup offense won't be a probelm - GP2 unlike Vando can score off cuts for example)
