    yeah, i get it. i'm just annoyed they signed my vet min target paul reed to play third string center when we don't have a first string one.


    well, williams--before our evaluation--was a big injury concern, but yeah, i didn't think it was a massive overpay.

    guessing NO turned something down for missi, but we probably didn't offer the first in that case.

    Right. If Ayton was priority #1, then why the LaRavia signing that impedes getting Ayton? And if Ayton was not priority #1, then why not more aggressive with Capela or Lopez or any other Center that signed? Unless there's a trade coming, things don't make sense.

    Exactly. And this is scary, unless there's a trade coming that makes sense of it all. Otherwise, we made LaRavia our #1 priority for what reason? AR & AMR demanded it? Lol.

    I'm also just doing what ifs here, in the case we don't get Ayton or a trade. If we get Ayton, Melton, and LaRavia, that's a solid offseason.

    Lakers Rumors: Bucks Signing Myles Turner Creates Clear Path for Deandre Ayton to Join LA
    Ayton was previously on a four-year, $132.9 million contract with the Blazers that was slated to go through 2026. The big man was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft. Yet, Ayton is not expected to land anything close to his previously lucrative deal now that the center is a free agent.

    Regarding his game, yeah, he has flaws, but it’s 8 mil. If he’s motivated he’s one of the best centers we could have possibly hoped for, for no assets going out. He also has playoff experience, he played well against us, and he’s played in the finals.

    So Ayton feels the Lakers have 2 of the top 15 players in the league. Let's do some math. If Luka is a clear top 5 player... that means Ayton considers LeBron the 15th best player in the league. I'm sure the ChosenGoatKang is going to love that from the new guy.

    CP3 is maybe the last player in the league we should bring in to help Ayton considering they allegedly hate each other. Horford would be perfect as a backup/mentor for Ayton, but I seriously doubt he takes the BAE with us over going to Golden State.

    he was a borderline all-star player with the Suns

    I think the main issue with him was the expectations were always too high from being the #1 pick

    but I wouldn't say he's a bust or has ever been considered one.
