Maluach has bust written all over him. Just my gut feeling... but i hope i'm wrong and he has a nice career and all.

Miami is high on their own supply if they expect a 1st or DK back in the deal. Expirings hold enough value this summer to get the job done.

Not to shoot the messengers, but Irwin doesn't have the sources to report actual rumors. It's yet to happen. He gets leaked what his contacts want him to hear after the fact (See: Jerami Grant last summer). And Miami is reportedly canvassing the league to get off of Wiggins, so I'm skeptical they're that dumb to ask for a 1st unless there was more to the deal. I could be proven wrong, but this sounds like a big nothingburger.

I’d love to add DFS in a Wiggins trade instead of Rui, but I know that’s highly unlikely.

I would say that this got its origin with us getting Wilt Chamberlain. West and Baylor made us great and Wilt put us completely over the top. From there, every ring and every player who we picked up, just dug that hole deeper and deeper. Obviously, everyone is jealous of the Lakers success. All the owners have colluded to keep us down, doing everything within their control to give them better odds to compete. The problem is, they have practically ruined the league to do so. The NBA has to have a big market team winning rings, without it, the fans start to move on.

Does anyone think Rob goes back and re-visits the Mark Williams trade?

Wouldn't hurt to look into it IMO

Can’t help but feel like that’s maybe a downgrade or lateral move, Thibs isn’t amazing, but he’s solid. The East is going to be garbage next year.

The good ole “dark” Laker lotto days when one of the rally cries was “Riggin for Wiggins”

word. this is miami/laker hater spin, imo. they obviously want wiggins out and are looking to move him. i'm already giving up rui--who may actually be better--and you want more stuff. stuff it, riles. keep circling the drain.

He's just sharing what he’s heard. It’s not like there’s a ton of news out there on our end, to me anything is interesting, it’s the purpose of a forum, to talk and share stuff. If Miami is asking for a 1st, good luck to them, Rui is good enough that you shouldn’t have to do that, plus he’s an expiring contract if it doesn’t work for you, you get off of Wiggins contract for the 26/27 season and get a younger player. I don’t really want Wiggins, but it’s hard not see him as a better fit, he guards threes while Rui can really only guard 4/5. Not a ton of realistic options out there to fill needs where we probably shouldn’t or don’t have to give up the 31 pick.

So yesterday word was they were willing to include the 20th with Wiggins.

Give me that package if you're a) not giving us any 2nds. B) before you dare ask for anything in addition to expirings.

We should get in on that, now that we have rich owners and we wouldn’t have to dip into the Jeanie & the Rambii Brunch/Happy Hour Fund.

I'll throw in our 1st to the Heat idea if they throw in Ware. Otherwise, pound pavement.

Not that we need another ball handler but man I would love Walter Clayton Jr. off the bench. His floor just might wind up being Jamal Murray.
