Exactly. We’re going to operating like the massive franchise we are instead of nickel and diming.

    Can’t wait.

It’s called cashing out my man. And valuation. You start a company and someone values at 4 billion you take it.

so I guess Jeanie saw that 10 billion valuation and said Sold we taking it. Money talks.

    WE CAN HIRE ANYBODY!!!!!!!!!!

    marinate on this. Presti

Splostra I know he reuped in Miami but anybody Reddick has a couple of seasons.

    Udoka

The Lakers will hire anybody now to win. Winning is paramount. No penny pinching. No penny pinching on assistant coaches.

example this season. Let’s just say we swing our bats.

we can hire top assistants. I would be hiring Tom Thiabadu as a defensive coordinator. Who cares we can pay him 5 million or the Knicks are paying him.

We can hire Mike Malone as an assistant coach any of those guys. Mike Brown.

    we’ll have a top bench.

    possibly Steve Kerr.

I’m pretty sure Rob sees the writing on the wall. You better make the right trade.

cause Bob Myers is right there.

We are definitely going to see changes in our approach to staffing. I expect us to ramp up pretty quickly in analytics, medical, and other behind the scenes functions.

LOL Pelinka’s not going anywhere immediately that would be nuts with him just having started the Luka era and gave up one pick, 2 really good -great players and KEPT AR. He gets this year of course and maybe more…. even with Magic around now.

I actually think if he doesn’t knock it out of the park this summer and at the trade deadline later in the season, he could be gone. Or, we add a new position in the FO to “help” Rob out- someone who has the portfolio that could easily take over for him in a season or two. We have talked about having more intelligent basketball minds in the FO for years and years. Now, we have the type of owner who will actually do it.
Time to pack your bags, Rambii.

Not one person has ever stated how they know for a verified insider fact that Kurt and Linda are NOT bright people at whatever they’re doing in the organization. Same with Rob for that matter and even more because his job is out front and important, and family or not Jeanie I believe is a smart woman running that team to this point and she likes Pelinka in that position.

There is no chance Pelinka will be GM (or whatever position he technically holds) going into the coming season. When new ownership groups like this come in, they clean house and hire the people they want for the job. The Guggenheim group has no loyalty to Pelinka and no use for him either. Our team is now owned by serious people and they will get a legitimate GM, commensurate with the stature of the Lakers, who remain the crown jewel of the league. If Rob isn't packing up his office already, he is DELUSIONAL.

Just replied in the other thread I don’t agree and think you’re wrong for the reasons stated there and above here.

Plus would Jeanie let a lie be reported nationally now that she’s still runnng it for (some period). And then let them fire the guy she wants “there”. What a shoot yourself in the foot look. Maybe they bring in a stud GM though, and if the money is right that person’s not going to balk at having a president in the organization chart. So is Jeanie lying?

I imagine Jeannie already has laid out exactly how long she will stay in that role.

we will see what happens but things will change in how we are run. I don’t expect immediate firings but I do think the Rambis family and others are on the clock which is a good thing.

Time to turn the front office into the force it should be. Scouting, shooting coaches, etc. all the things we’ve heard we’re lacking should be brought up to the best in the league.

I don’t think they will immediately get rid of Rob but no exec should feel safe.
