We have to get a split there to regain HCA. Down 1-3 will be problematic with momentum on their side. Tonight will be the best opportunity.
I think the Lakers have a greater chance than just about every other team to just have a horrible game for no good reason. We are very capable of coming out against an inferior team and just getting slammed. Inconsistent!!
We need a statement game tonight and regaining HCA if we don't get that I'll stop believing this team will get far even if we do end up limping through this series.
i've been in prove-it-to-me mode since the second quarter of game 1. just haven't loved the vibes. very curious to see how this one--in particular--plays out. we used the "unready" excuse (SUPER LAME) in game 1. it's exhausted. the physicality will be there. the refs will be wearing minnesota jerseys. deal with it and execute like you have failed to do for most of two games.
and if we have short rest for game 4, this really is a must win for this team due to an aging Lebron being so heavily relied upon. If we lose Game 3, count me unlikely to watch the rest of the series if it requires giving up sleep due to the time zone difference.
I have to stay up late, as well, now that I’m on the East Coast. They HAVE to win tonight, even if they don’t play the best offensive game. No backing down!
Three games in the Timberwolves are just the better team. Their athleticism and length is causing us a lot of problems. The offensive rebounds really killed us, which I think just comes down to a lack of size and not having a true center. Small ball isn’t working against Minnesota.
We ran out of steam... Sick Luka and we were in the game. Sucks to lose but I like the fight tonight.
How do you guys stay unaffected by our Lakers? I need to adopt whatever you do. I can’t help but be emotionally attached. I’m sure some of you guys have seen my comments and posts about this, but I can’t shake it man. I can’t help but be effing pissed off at this stupid loss when we could have gotten the win had we just focused a little bit better. Like I’m seriously just visualizing all you as mature adults who don’t care, who are just unfazed by everything Lakers, win or lose. How do you do that exactly? Is that second nature? I am extremely livid rn, and this has absolutely ruined my weekend. Nothing good happens when my Lakers lose, and I can’t undo this. It’s embedded in me. How are most of you so indifferent about our guys? I’m not going to say none of you are passionate, but I just feel like I’m one of the few who cares THAT MUCH, and unrealistically will say or do anything to make our boys win. I don’t understand why we can’t do it. Like even w/o a legitimate center, we have the ingredients, we’ve shown we can hang with the best of them. Now when the lights are the brightest, we fold. Why can’t we just beat these guys, and move on to round 2…
This happens when you don't take care of your home court advantage. All the work to get into the number 3 seed that went into the regular season and you get blown out in the first game. Now? Your season is on the line this Sunday; if you lose that game, the season is essentially over...
1. It's a game 2. There is a difference between passion and blind obsession. I've been a Lakers fan for most of my 50 years. A series isn't over til its over and 1 game does not make or break anything. 3. Learn to be logical after the emotion. No win means we are the best ever and no loss means we are the worst ever. Some of you guys are psychotic with the swinging pendulum. 4. Understand that not being over-dramatic doesn't mean people don't care..... It's a child's game played by adults. Sports are for entertainment, talking crap to each other and celebrating greatness.
They really do have to go dirty to win. I don't mean like hurting players dirty but serious gamesmanship. That type of crap should of been stopped after the first one.
Still, they were/are a better team. No way in hell we're winning 3 in a row, not even if Luka goes super saiyan mode.
