Recipe for disaster. Reid has been a Laker killer for a few years now. I've seen that movie before of him hitting multiple open threes on us. They should know better.

Yeah he's done it multiple times against the Lakers and they are still like " here is your open shot"

The playcalling rate was awful on Saturday. Our rates of organized offense have gone down every month this season despite our offense clearly performing better on an expected points per possession basis when organized. It's inexcusable. I hoped it would change in the postseason but Game 1 provided no comfort.

yeah, i'd hoped some of the late season freelancing was playing things close to the vest for the playoffs.

    wrong. it was just devolution.

I hope JJ has a better gameplan tonight. One that includes counters, for when the other team makes an adjustment. The HC chess match, has begun in earnest. This is a must win game period.

That's how Ham responds when he finds out his pants don't have pockets.

Very beneficial scolding during the timeout. We went on a 9-0 run afterwards.

If can make Rui and Luka into physical defenders who are in the right places on their rotation that will be a star coaching turn. Each of them have tools but separate problems and he made them play tonight

JJ is gonna end up looking like Jeff Van Gundy after a couple seasons.

I predict in 2 to 3 years, Luka will burn out with JJ and ask for a new coach. LOL, but true. Even Magic and Kareem wanted Riles gone!

I’m just so happy we finally have a coach who actually gives a sh*t AND is pretty good at his job.
    It’s been way too long.
He has the off season to relax. I liked him fired up.

Gonna be interesting to see if his small ball lineup will be sustainable throughout this series or the entire playoffs. I admit I have my doubts that it will be.

it sorta feels like jj has some internal dantoni and thinks you can survive without shotblockers/rebounders by just having a bunch of 6'6" to 6'9" guys who can swarm and scrap.

i still think it would be good to have a better version of jaxson hayes to play portions of games, but i also agree that you can probably play 30 minutes per game with lebron or rui or DFS as the nominal center. 48...i'm still dubious.
