My money is on Houston and Minny. Whoever's offense flames out more this post-season. Suns should want a Houston deal to get their picks back. But I think KD could potentially prefer playing with his pal ANT. That is if he wants to deal with the cold and small market size.

i love steven adams. btw, i'd forgotten that last takedown by draymond...just intensely dirty and dangerous. and despite all his streets bluster, that guy would want exactly zero part of steven adams in an actual fight. none.

not sure why admitting you have no idea what's going on is good for the game. you can see the female ernie johnson just trying to channel the original ernie johnson there...like...you all expect me to work with this b******* going on?

Klay having a throw back game- three tres so far in the first half…
AD not engaged on offense, at all. Scratch that- he just drained two threes.

kings can't score down low on him though

looks like dallas will be eliminating the kings and it wouldn't surprise me if they beat memphis too. hopefully they can steal a game or two against OKC if they make it there

Agreed. He’s been very good, as usual, stopping them from scoring near the basket. He’s made Sabonis, so far, look like a G- Leaguer.

both memphis and okc should be able to make dallas pay for its lack of creators on the perimeter. if kyrie were playing, they'd be pretty scary, though. as it stands, they're really relying on brandon williams (two-way until a couple days ago), and he's not a good enough finisher to be your primary guy.

and yeah, you got to see some of the best and worst of AD in that game. in the first quarter, i thought he was openly tanking the game for dallas. some half-assed moves on offense and two consecutive sequences where he didn't cross half court as the kings scored. i think he came out after the second one, and the team went on a big run with him on the bench. when he came back, he looked a little better, but i think mostly because the kings were totally ignoring him away from the basket, and he hit those threes sort of out of spite, i think.

but yes, on defense (when he got there) he was good, and his theory of him at pf really shines there, as he was able to contain derozan and murray on brief switches and he and gafford/lively were stifling everything near the rim. you could tell after a while that sabonis was looking over his shoulder. when he killed us previously, they just found ways to get AD away from him for a second so that he gain an advantage, and then he knew nobody else could bother him. in this one, guys were finding daylight around one center only to have the sun blocked out when they turned the corner. this then really highlighted the fact that nobody on sac aside from sabonis can pass the ball effectively.

dallas could, in theory, use similar strategies to beat memphis (question will be whether morant can work against the bigs effectively--if he can, they win). i think okc will smother dallas should they meet, though. in a sweep, with dallas failing to crack 100 multiple times.

they really need to, imo. sell high on sabonis and just bottom out for a year or two. they own their picks. try to get a high upside young player in the sabonis deal that you can test drive as a centerpiece while finishing last in the west. it's their destiny.
