I agree on Rui being the x factor .. If he played "to his size" and averaged 8 boards a game , we would be unstoppable .
Good for the whole team given the fact the Wolves play physical i.e foul on almost every possession .
did he said anything last season when Dallas with worse roster than Lakers has gone to the finals.and why he's not challenging Jokic defense?
LOL. I guess Steph, beard, Murray etc. don't have to do it. Luka will be just fine, sit back and enjoy.
What was he saying there 7 times? Luka’s going to have to ?? I couldn’t understand what he was getting at. Another jacka** that has to put something super negative out there for shock value and clicks like his point overrides every positive aspect and the totality of Luka’s game.
saying all the right things; we'll see how we look when it starts. interesting that jj noted disruptions of dhos in particular. wonder what he's seen there. side note: i never get over how much ant looks and sounds like mj. it's wild. it's like he's his kid.
I thought Timpf did a good job in his preview of this series. "Playing Gobert off the court" isn't about forcing him to switch onto Luka, LeBron, or Austin and going iso. He's actually a pretty damn good switch defender for a center, we just remember Luka hitting those step-back threes over him. It's about forcing him to help off of perimeter players. You get their smaller guys switched onto Luka or LeBron (Conley, NAW, DiVincenzo), draw the help from Gobert and kick out to shooters. Timpf had us winning in 5, I still think this is a 6 or 7 game series that we ultimately win.
I'm assuming it's their ability to stick while navigating and how to screen that and protect the ball. They're a group with very active hands and we can get a bit lazy/slopping/ careless out there with it on the perimeter. Without Maury, we'll never really know will we. If MJ truly wants a trump card over Bron in the battle for GOAT, if he were to announce that's his real lineage and not Marcus the f*** up and Jeffrey. ANT > Bronny and Bryce. Mic drop.
Lebron getting old is weirdly impacting his TO's more from the mental rather than the physical side. The number of "unforced" TO's where he simply looks kind of out to lunch and gives up a lazy pass (i.e Chicago game with apogee of this but he's been doing it all year) or just doesn't see a defender in a normal position has increased a lot this year. This will be a key to this series as the Lakers at their worst just give up a ton of second chance points and are loose with the ball. So all their offensive talent goes to waste as the other team just win the possession by a huge margin
