I think Ant and Julius will pose a big threat to us. We have to get Julius to want to be a hero cause he can get a little out of control. Have to keep contact with Conley too. Golbert is a little aggressive which I think we can exploit if we attack the paint. Overall I don't think they have enough to stop our fire power.

French Fry, Ants Fly, Ceaser Dies..... Lakers in 5

Naz Reid is the X factor to me, we don’t have anyone that can really guard him. Not super worried about Randle or Gobert, at least on offense, and as solid as Conley can be, it’s much preferable to some of the quicker PGs out there on other teams, or Curry. I think this goes at least 6.

Super happy with this matchup. I did not want the Warriors round 1. We would have beat them but it would have been a harder matchup IMO.

I have 0 fear of the Wolves. Lakers in 5

I think Randle likes to be a bully which could rack up fouls if we aren't careful with him. Rudy is more offensive rebound and blocks but offensively not really a factor I agree.

I think we can play Rudy off the floor with ease. I think we can even play Conley off because he can't guard Bron or Luka. Like at all. So that leaves Austin, there's a size issue there too. If we start to switch hunt him, he's done. They're going to have to put Randle on Bron. If a playoff series, that's not going to work.

They have Ant, he'll win one by himself, and Laker killer Reid who's their best big by far. Those are the only 2 I'm wasting time thinking about.

    Here's the full bracket

Pretty much this. The bracket is set pretty well for us. I like our chances to bring it home.

I wish KAT is still with them lol he is less likely to hurt our players unlike Jules who plays with reckless abandon

Not worried about this first round.
LeBron can neutralize Randle, they have no chance of stopping Luka, and Naz isn’t going to go off every game. Antman will get his, but we can shutdown the rest.

Naz Reed scares me and this is a big team but then you look at the top end talent. As good as Ant.the Lakers have 3 guys who can just match or exceed Ant and McDaniels and crew are just too small guard Luke and LeBron

I think it will be a good series but if healthy the big 3 seems like too much for firepower for the Lakers here

    Lakers in 6.

    It will be competitive.

Good first round series to get the juices flowing. So glad it wasn't GS; I'm sick of seeing them.

It’ll be a good early test to see how we defend a lineup with a team that has a decided advantage over us in the post.

you think they'll go in the post on offense? i'd probably prefer they go to reid or gobert against hayes or whatever. don't think they'd dare try randle against lebron (they shouldn't). my concern is defensive rebounding, though. if i'm them, i just have ant create paint attempts and threes (we can't bother him, even with vando) and then send guys to the offensive boards gambling that they'll bat it in more often than we convert on the break.

from our standpoint, i think you want to force ant to have to make plays for himself and hope it tires him out a bit. don't let their role players--specifically dvv, reid, mcdaniels, and NAW--get wide open threes.

on offense, i'll be curious to see if finch has developed a different strategy against luka. last time, they tried what i'm suggesting we do against ant, but it didn't work. luka's just another level on the danger-meter there. are they going to sell out double him from the jump? will jj have all the right counters ready?
