Just chatted with a Laker fan who resides in Portland. Has a place ten minutes from the arena. Told me how much we are HATED there. Any other team, tickets are dirt cheap like $20 to $30. When we are in town and relevant? $2K at the minimum. Partied with the owner's son who behaves like a privileged, drunken idiot who knows next to nothing about basketball. Yeah, been to bar that has a yellowed, tattered 1977 championship banner. Apparently the Trailblazers are ALL they have there. Miserable sods...
NBA Referee Assignments for Warriors vs. Clippers. #30 John Butler #68 Jacyn Goble #24 Kevin Scott Kevin Scott is statistically the worst ref for home teams this season. 60% of the 58 games he’s reffed this year have been won by the visiting team. The Clippers have also won over 70% of their games reffed by Jacyn Goble and John Butler. Very interesting Is Silver sick of GSW dynasty which is actually died already,or it's a coincidence
They 4th + OT is exactly why I wanted to avoid Steph in the first. He's a one man fire alarm. I think we can beat them by the sheer amount of chasing you have to do against him, I'd rather not do that to our defense.
I honestly wish we could have had the Clippers in the first round. I think the NBA NEEDS a Lakers/Clippers series. Finally decide the Team of LA (not that people would leave the Lakers for the Clippers if we lost……but still………) oh well. One day it might happen
WTF? Everyone knows there's only one team in LA, that's not up for discussion. But agree it would be fun. Minny is big, but usually Gobert is played out of the court in playoffs. I think we'll be able to do that. I'm confident for this matchup
now gotta wish for Memphis to beat GSW in the play-in and we have a decent-looking route to the conference finals.
minny's the team i wanted, but i can imagine regretting it, simply because edwards can go nova and they play good defense. it's not quite as a scary as luka + good team defense, but it's a concern. but i prefer them to gs.
That's our ultimate scenario isn't it, Memphis beats Golden State and we have either them or Houston in the second round. Whereas OKC has to go through GSW and then one of the Clippers or Nuggets. That's a harder bracket with 4 of the best 5 teams in the west I believe.
Yeah, but we can say that about any of the teams we had the potential of facing: Denver: Jokic and Murray can go supernova with MPJ, Gordon, Braun and Westbrook as support. If they catch fire, they can win the west GSW: Steph can be a one man wrecking crew for 2-3 games any series if he gets hot, then add in Butler's all around game and rising tendency when it matters plus Green on defence. They're deadly. LAC: Maybe the scariest of the bunch with Harden and Kawhi looking their best in years, Harden just dropped 12 in overtime to sink GS, Kawhi had 33 with good defence, not to mention Powell, DJJr and Bogdanovic. Lastly, Zubac is looking like an all star lately. They're all tougher outs to me than Minnesota.
