Can the Lakers just send videos of Draymond Green getting in refs faces verbally and clapping his hands, shouting, etc and ask why Luka gets kicked out for s*** talking a fan in the general vicinity of a red?

That was ridiculous. Why do the refs pull junk like that?

I looked at the first T a couple times and I think (speculation for sure) that he got that for Vando who had gotten some sh*tty calls/no calls in a row. Why do I think that? Right after the T they show Luka telling Vando something while laughing and it looks like Vando doesn't get it right away but then tries to Dap up Luka like saying thanks right before the camera cuts away.

I could be wrong but that is what it looked like to me.

    The second T was bull****

This is more of it. The Lakers were always successful and the Mavs fell flat quite a bit. They hate the Spurs too. I'm thinking Mavs fans as a whole no longer hate the Lakers lol.

It wouldn't do anything because Draymond is considered a a passionate big time defender. He gets the Bruce Bowen treatment (though Bruce was not a loud mouth like draymond) who played dirty as hell but got away with it cause he was the defender for the Champion Spurs.

Luka is a star who is known to complains a lot. Refs, especially one's with a ego, are going to tire of him.

Probably the worst ejection since that Duncan ejection with Joe Crawford in 2007 actually this one maybe worse.

People paid good money to come watch these athletes play and they [the refs] try to take over the f***ing game!"

Dude, what are you talking about? Luka was chatting with a fan who was chirping him all game. He wasn't complaining to the refs.

"Luka is a star who is known to complains a lot. Refs, especially one's with a ego, are going to tire of him."

This means that Luka complains a lot (THROUGHOUT) the game. Because of said complaining it is not shocking that a ref (Especially ones with EGO) may get tired of it and "T" him up.

Now, at no point in my response did I say, in that instance, that Luka was complaining to the ref directly. In fact, I didn't mention anything he said or did in that particular response. However, to play devil's advocate, even if he was talking to a fan it was directly near (as shown in the replay) to the ref who may or may not have heard what he said but obviously heard him (Luka) say something and felt he was talking to him.

As some of the posters mentioned in the game day thread Luke needed to, at the very least, control himself after sitting on a tech already. While I was not in that camp per say I am in the camp of our leaders showing better control and not costing us the game by pushing the envelope. I believe the refs cost us the game BUT I also believe we, especially Luka, gave them the opportunity to do that by not controlling himself while on 1 Tech already.

Yes, but he was bantering with a fan. Even the fan in attendance said Luka was talking to him. That ref, who was just coincidentally at the same angle that the fan was thought Luka was talking to him. Tony Brothers said that the ref T'd up Luka because he 'thought' Luka was talking to him. You can't T up a player for just speaking to a fan... It's not like Luka was threatening the fan or anything.

That ref made a mistake and refused to own up to it! Luka does complain a lot but that has nothing to do with the fact that he should not have been ejected. Either way, the NBA has to look at how this is affecting the game... You can't toss out star players in a highly viewed game for silly reasons. If Luka complains a lot, sure, give him a T. That's fine. But giving him a T for speaking to a fan? CMON!

At the end of the day the NBA is entertainment, Luka puts on a show and even interacts with fans, it must be fun as hell to be at a game he’s playing in. The ref who tossed him is a clown for that, their job is to moderate the entertainment, not be little babies and get their feelings hurt. Refs should have the guts to say whoops I messed up, ejection rescinded, play on, but no, no such accountability exists.

Luka talks ALL game to everyone -- players, coaches/the bench, refs, fans, himself. Inexcusable ejection. Refs are not supposed to become the face of a game. A well reffed game, you don't know who officiated it when the final buzzer sounds.

Thanks for the loss Orr, now go f*** yourself.

This type of s*** is exactly why NBA ratings are down, refs need to stay the f*** out of the game.

you can't know who refs are, and you can't know that certain refs don't like certain guys. that vando comment above is just damning and grounds for dismissal, imo.

you are not paid to get emotional with players. you're paid to be able to avoid that exact thing. that's messed up and weird.

Nba ref, one of the best jobs in the world. Just like politicians, zero accountability, zero knowledge, good money... even better gambling options.
One fine would set a precedent and made them take their job seriously, too bad Silver has no balls.
