Surprised he ended up with only 30. Felt like he dropped 50.

Coulda if he wanted or if the game called for it. Took them to school in the first half and then coasted.

If this is happening against your two best defenders -- Dort and AC

    then you're f***ed. You're done. It's over.

    He don't like them

    Smart plan Mr MVP

    This was fun

    How?

0 TOs in that first half too. With how he was slinging it around, that's crazy.

If he can play like this every game in the playoffs, we have a chance to go far.

This was Luka’s best game so far as a Laker IMO. He gave OKC fits. The step back threes on their centers, the crazy circus shots, the pinpoint passing and the cherry on top that over his head no look to Gabe for the open three. Unfreaking real!

Yeah, he's so relentless. He's demoralizing to play against because he'll start smiling and dancing while dominating like it's just another day in the office. And in the playoffs he turns into a killer like the Mamba. He's probably the most dangerous player in the NBA right now. I still can't believe we have him on our team.

That was fun, that’s what watching Kobe felt like, putting on a show, never knowing what he was gonna do out there and a potential special game each time he went out there. I think this is one of the few times I’ve seen JJ laugh as our coach, I guess Luka will do that to you

Luka owns OKC and the Suns. This should be a good playoff run. Add a couple of pieces in the offseason and it's over.

Luka loves breaking the opponent with his smiling and laughing at them. Once he really gets going you'll see him yell at the defender "you can't guard me".

I'm seriously looking forward to the playoffs.

Yessir! This is why I'm here. You don't trade a player like that. We are starting to see Luka get ready for the playoffs now. He is "that" guy.

We are in for a ride now!

I'm sorry, AD is a great player. But, he has never been what Luka is. I feel sorry for the rest of the MFFL's (Mavs Fans For Life) that haven't left for the Lakers. Ownership and the front office deserve every bit of the ire they are getting.

Is there a Laker for Life acronym? That's my team now.

lol, i was cooking dinner at my dad's house tonight (he's a mavs fan primarily, but has the soft spot for the lakers because i was born there and we lived part of showtime in la). i was saying how crushed i'd be if i were a mavs fan only right now. even being a huge AD fan. just indefensible. i'd just have a hard time believing in whatever choice the front office made after that one. any of them.

i'm in the weird position of having been a lakers fan first and adopting dallas because i lived there for so long. so it stings less for me, but i can definitely imagine it and know so many of my friends (admittedly mostly casual fans) from back there just checked out immediately after the trade.

but my nephew is literally named luka after luka. in dallas.

No kidding. I lived there for about 15 years and am originally from Shreveport, LA. I'm in the north Bay now. The forum I was on for Mavs talk is nearly dead now. I feel terrible for anyone who stuck around.

It's one thing to let Nash walk but to trade the equivalent of Prime Dirk at age 25 (at the time) is just stupid. I'm definitely all in on the Lakers now. The Mavs have lost a ton of their fan base. Someone definitely did not read the room on that one.

Imagine Kobe gets you to the Finals and you trade him at the next deadline. Good lord man.

There is no reason for that unless Luka is permanently damaged which I don't see. He looked like Dallas Luka last night.

Dude, I started watching the Lakers when Jerry West was a ROOKIE!!! I'm moving out of California soon, but the one thing I will keep is being a Lakers fan. I will be a fan until the day I die. 65 years so far.

I just love the Lakers fortune. I am sad to lose AD over this, but that is a trade I would make every single day. Watching it in action, we are a much better team already and it is obvious we are not as good as we will be.

I can't think of another "return" game like this one, where the fans are pissed that the guy left rather than angry at the player for leaving.
