Unfortunately no, he's about to be Silver of Europe NBA
Pau Gasol, a Hall of Famer and European basketball legend, is strongly considered as the favorite to be proposed the position of CEO of the NBA Europe league, Eurohoops has exclusively learned.
But I am sure that he can even play tomorrow vs Green and GSW

pau is just all class. i was so bummed at how his tenure here ended.

though it was different in some ways from AD, it also felt parallel.

anyway, we need to keep the fraternity alive in this sense, as it's how we keep getting lebrons and lukas, imo.

pau was in trade rumors for years leading up to his last season with the lakers and then had to deal with d'antoni's dumb a** trying to turn him into a 3 pt shooter. not to mention he got right back to business after the cp3 veto. he deserved to go out a lot better as a laker

Wonder if this winds up dropping the level of play here if they do it with the best Euro players no longer coming? But how do they match the crazy salary levels in the US …. there to keep that from happening and NBA Europe ever being competitive enough to compete for that NBA “world championship” or whatever the plan would be to call it after the playoffs in each league?

Why would the best Euro players stop coming? Am I missing someting? The money is still much better in the NBA and until that changes, the best talent will follow...

I also don't expect any huge increase in salaries in European BB leagues. While this sport is very popular in some of teh European countries, it's far, FAR behind socer and this is where the big money is flowing over here.

That was the point I was making. If Silver sees it as an expanded NBA to an international level (Europe) …. how could that version compete with the US version to have that likely ultimate goal (world champion NBA series) every year with the salary discrepancy?
