The only two guys who looked like they were playing at NBA speed were JC and Tarik. Russell showed NBA skills, but he's still not completely familiar with the NBA game yet.

good stuff from this post game interview with Julius Randle. He's really not happy about not playing tomorrow but trust the coaches and trainers. He also was upset with all his close shots he missed but he could tell my his body language and roll of his eyes that it won't be something that happens often.

I hope we can get a video link so everyone can see it for themselves.

I think the most disappointing thing about Randle is he looks lost out there. I understand the rust but it doesnt' seem like he has a feel for game at all. He only knows how to call for an iso on the offensive end. I didn't see much else out of him.

I was impressed with Russ, his numbers may not show it but his pg skills are evident.

Clarkson, not much needs to be said. He's beyond this level of talent.

Upshaw has some good spurts, needs to continue to work on that conditioning.

Brown was invisible, other than missing 3s.

All that said, its just one game in summer league. These guys will develop, positive signs.

Russell definitely has NBA PG skills.. Wish he would've got more burn over Buycks.. But that's Summer League

Ever since last year, every time i watch randle i am not really that impressed...I don't know what is about him.
He also seems to have trouble shooting over taller and longer defender. I do like what i saw from Clarkson,Russell, Black and Upshaw. Also Nance seems to be energy guy. I like him.

You can use the chat on your phone, I always post from my phone. Tab at the top of the page with the 3 lines opens up a pull down menu, just click on "Game Time".

It was one game, actually the first for many of the new guys. I give them a pass, saw some encouraging things so that's good.

Russell would have got 3 or 4 more assists if some of his teammates converted... like that alley-oop to JC that he just missed. His court vision is as advertised and the steals were just icing on the cake.

He looked like that early last yr too then basically took over the summer league team towards the end along with clarkson

Yeah. I don't have the numbers in front of me but it seemed like BuYcks was out there forever.

The more playing time for Russell, Upshaw, etc the better. Get the young guys as many minutes as possible even if it means losing every game.

To be fair to Randle, there's a lot of ISO in summer league, it can get pretty similar to a pick-up game out there. And he still hasn't played more than half of a real NBA regular season game. Not much chance to play with Kobe and the starters in the more structured offense and have an opportunity to look not lost or comfortable. He looked pretty good in preseason last season though, he started to get a feel for things, and then he goes down for a year.

As Trodgers said, the "Game Time" section (up top, next to Forums) is the place during games. Real time, so it's great for those big moments and sharing in the excitement. Hope to see you there during the games.
