Lakers caught a break with Rui having a minor injury but even losing someone like Hayes could be a catastrophe for this team.

If it means resting guys even if it might seem minor, they should do it.

Luka is ours now for whatever reason, they chose to trade him. The constant Mavs bashing shots, are totaly unnecessary and really petty.

Not a bad prospect, tbh I'd actually circle back to the Hornets, for a stab at Diabate too. I'd also take a run at Sharpe from Brooklyn again. I love those low cost moves, Rob's pretty good at snagging them.

 

I don't feel bad for the Mavs. For whatever reason, they seemed determined to get rid of Luka. To the extent that they burned him on a max extension. I'm just glad that we said yes.

I don't want to say this too early, but I am. We need to extend Hayes, but I would still pursue another center obviously.

However, this is where I've changed my opinion - I'm not into giving away all the capital it's going to take to get a Claxton.

I'm thinking: Day'Ron Sharpe, Jaxson Hayes, Jemison. I think Sharpe is due for an extension next year? We need guys that defend, rebound, and finish. That's it. Use the existing assets to potentially add another Christie light and go to war.

Or find another similar center in the draft or somebody that improves your team while working well in tandem with Hayes and not giving up all your assets and money to a position that while I concede is important, I'll argue with Luka's talent, you can get away with an average center looking above average to excellent w/him most nights.
