I’ve seen some fans act like Luka is going crazy and I understand everyone is excited as they should be, but I’ve been fortunate living in Texas I’ve seen alot of Luka’s games throughout his career even before he became a Laker.

He’s not doing anything that he hasn’t done his entire career. Luka is the same guy that took the heart of the Phoenix Suns when they were the clear cut favorite in the 2021-2022 season and arguably started their downfall.

Luka has had so many epic playoff moments that game winner against the Clippers his second season in the league, leading Dallas to the Finals last year, and during that run took down OKC when they were the #1 seed a season ago.

He’s been really good defensively and is making all those people who claimed he was a liability look foolish. Luka is never going to be a lock down defender, but when he’s engaged he can hold his own in one on one coverage and is great at playing passing lanes.

So you’re saying he’s about to be in another stratosphere… say less.

I’m a card collector, been my whole life, Pokemon/sports, but really started picking up around 2014, when I think Jordan Clarkson’s rookie year was. I even went to Frank and Son (old location), and met J Clark for signatures (since he’s Filipino). I then went pretty overboard with my sports card collecting over the years, including to this day.

All this to say, through card collecting (including Luka rookie cards (RCs)), and playing fantasy basketball for the last 10 years or so, playing basketball my whole life and just following the NBA pretty closely my whole life, I know what you mean by this being the norm for him due to how much I watch basketball. I had some really expensive Luka RCs I let go too early (which I rebought immediately at 100x the price the moment I heard he was traded to the Lakers).

It really is such an exciting time to be a Laker fan. To be able to have an absolute superstar like this in their prime for the Lakers is just something else… The buzz is just palpable everywhere. I cannot wait to watch more youtube highlights, and interviews tonight!!

LUKA DONCIC IS A LOS ANGELES LAKER! This will never get old to me.

Can we just extend him now? LOL

Luka is the perfect guy for Showtime. He will become a legend out here. I have no plans on going anywhere now. I'm done with the Mavs. I watch the Warriors sometimes just because I live in the north Bay. But, I'm not invested there.

    He's still getting his legs.

Looked like he had more energy last game or maybe the Knicks just put more pressure on Luka to move more. He was clutching the shorts a lot but the nice thing about LeDoncic is each one can take possessions off lol

So, I'll give you the guys the low down on Luka and Doe Doe. Doe Doe is a beast. He is a dog on defense. He will talk a lot on defense and he can hit 3s all day. I really missed Doe Doe when the Mavs traded him. (Dorian Finney Smith)

Luka complains about fouls...a lot. Luka does not do much in the way of conditioning. I'm hoping that LeBron can really help with that. I want to see Luka go scorched earth on the NBA. Anytime he plays the Mavs I want to see him burn them to the ground.

Luka will do things on the court sometimes that will have you shaking your head. He's better on defense than the talking heads will ever admit. He will play through injuries. he is a dog to the enth degree. Think Jordan or Kobe. He HATES to lose. He is the type of player that will roast your team just because he can. He amplifies things in the playoffs. (Takes it to another level) He will win us titles.

Oh and he will shoot and mostly hit some crazy ridiculous 3 pointers from the logo. If we are late in the game Luka wants the ball and it will go in.

I'll tell you now though, he is not a good free throw shooter. Drives me crazy.

He is still getting his legs under him. I'm watching the game right now. He's starting to round into form now. Looking good.

I’d like to hear positive confirmation from others that “Roo” started on Club Lakers. Maybe you’re right but ALL the posting I was aware of him was here, NOT there and he posted a lot here. Would have been the same there and I just don’t recall HIM on that forum. Of course Bonk showed up here too “after”. Doc Brown. one of the old timers from CL and a couple others commenting in that thread all have their LB nomenclature on as they came over here for a period before drifting off.

That 3 over KAT was nuts, that’s a Kobe shot, Luka just has “it”, he’s that guy. That’s why the Mavs trading him is insane. Even if they didn’t like his conditioning, even if they didn’t like his style of play, if they didn’t want to pay him a huge contract, you just don’t trade a 26 year old star or that caliber. And if for some reason you do, like you’re convinced you have to, it’s gotta be for a younger star and multiple picks. I love AD, but I can’t imagine his body has many years left at a top level, you’ve got to get more of a future out of trading away your future with Luka.

what are you talking about LT? I literally said in that thread that I talked to him when we moved here and asked if he'd move too.

he said he had real life issues and when he "died" i assumed he was ill.

What a win last night. Still giddy. My Luka jersey came in two days ago, and it’s the most beautiful thing.

Seems like all sites are sold out of most colors/sizes for adults. Still need to buy the purple and white one.

MOAR Luka!! Luka is the perfect superstar to lead this team. So many good things happen when he’s on the floor.
