Agreed! Seems like it has been on page 2 lately… let’s keep it there! Better yet, page 3, 4… lol oh oops, sorry! Thanks for the breakdown there Kuzmo!
Man great game overall BUT I gotta WMC on the officiating of this game. It might of leveled out in the end (I don't know) but it felt like we got manhandled by them with no calls and they got "touched" for calls. The free throws were pretty close LA (28) and NY (32) but I think there was some costly calls. Anyway I was frustrated at the officials today.
They were terrible. Impacted the flow of the game. Missed a lot of calls. Luckily Luka was there to point out most of the misses to them, so they can catch them on replay.
I was worried Luca was going to get ejected. I'm glad he settled down a bit when they realized how bad they were. Most egregious call was after Brunson's FT's where NY tried to foul and they fouled Luca who didn't have the ball. Ref looked right at it and waited for them to get to and foul Lebron before calling the foul. That should of been free throws and the ball for us. Both bron and Luca were like WTF. Those dudes were awful today
It’s like the last 3 games, the referees have been just mind boggling. Obvious plays happening in front of them. Obvious fouls. REPLAYS on challenges not getting overturned, etc. Is it the Luka effect?? Or just part of the Laker tax? Or both? Just so blatantly bad. Some really sloppy passes by a lot of our guys continued tonight. Like just stupid, unforced ones, Jaxson seems to do this too much. Just secure it. Hold it. Use 2 hands, call a timeout if you need to. Don’t throw it to the other team or out of bounds…
Crazy thing about that call was the AR didn't foul him but Luca actually did which they could of called after the review. They chose to say some BS about AR moving laterally into Brunsons path and makes illegal contact. Total BS. They didn't want to overturn it cause Brunson got hurt (IMO).
I wonder if Luka, LeBron, Reaves can all have good games on the same night? As in like 20/25+ points each, with decent shooting percentages. Can’t wait until that happens. Or do we think it will normally just be 2/3 mostly to get it done?
Just in general and ALWAYS …. screw Chuckles the Clown. So he took another shot (I read here) before the Knicks game, again, still saying we’re not contenders because OKC will beat us. Did anyone fall on a grenade for everyone here and watch the post game show to hear what was said after our comeback overtime win and 8 game win streak and tremendous record against over .500 teams the last few months?
I’ve stopped watching TNT’s post game at this point. Inside the NBA used to be my favorite show, but Chuck’s anti Lakers bias has become abundantly clear these last few years. It’s sad how one of the all time greats is tarnishing his legacy in my eyes by consistently making a fool of himself on national TV and unfortunately Shaq isn’t much better.
LeBron had 33 & both Luka & Reaves had over 20 vs. the TWolves. https://www.nba.com/lakers/game/0022400849/box-score
It's just like politics, you can what you see and absolutely understand the facts of it, but they put lipstick on it and call it something else, they don't even see what is so obvious to see. Dang refs, this is really a joke. Yet I go around and look at sports fans and there are sooooo many haters of Lebron and Luka. It is really ridiculous. I do not understand sports fans, the hate of players is the most stupid sports fan reaction I can imagine. Most athletes that are hated are really good athletes. You can argue about guys faking fouls but who really cares. Players simply have to do what works. As a player you cannot have one team faking fouls and getting calls, and not resort to trying it yourself. It sucks but if the refs are stupid enough to call games like that, then that is the way the game is played. Bottom line for me is respecting quality is better than hating it. If you respect your opponent it makes beating them better. What does it do for you if you think your opponent sucks??? Now there are guys I don't like because they are douchebags, but I still recognize that they have skills. Dillon Brooks comes to mind. He is just a thug, but he deserves to be in the league. I'm just really happy when he loses. Grayson Allen is another guy who I think is a jerk of a human being, but he has skills as a player. Hating guys because they complain to the refs or whine too much is pretty stupid to me. Loathing guys who destroy your team is understandable. I can understand loathing guys like Jokic, he is frigging good. I always worry about facing him. https://www.ranker.com/list/most-hated-active-nba-players/ranker-nba
Offense still feels way to clunky. I get it it was New York and integrating Luka is a big ask but it is what it is - offense feels a lot clunkier then the defense right now which I was not expecting with a trade of AD AND Max for Luka. (Luka hasn't looked bad on defense to me at least last few games TBH)
