yeah, i'd say that, but i don't think there are many FAs out there who fit the bill. if there were, i'd totally see that coming. i guess myles turner is a FA. he'd have to take a substantial paycut, though, and he's not really in position to do that--some younger guys could take less to make more on the back end, but not him.

 

I think they were looking for a reason to move to Las Vegas. Now they have it, but will the league buy in to it??

i've also read that the main thrust seems opposite? they're trying to bring aspects of vegas to dallas, and buying the team helps in some way?

i think they owners really know nothing and just trusted their manager's assessment, tbh. i think the "this guy doesn't work hard enough to succeed" is something that resonates with people. and when it's coming from a guy who has kobe ties and big brand affiliations, etc., maybe it's more believable.

 

Yup. People keep trying to come up with elaborate explanations for the trade. In reality, it happened because power concentrated in the hands of Harrison due to the ownership change and Cuban being shoved into a non-decision making role, and this one guy got in his head that Luka wasn't the right guy.
