Go straight to 2:50 in this interview, the interviewer asked about Luka’s skipping celebrations. Watch and hear Luka’s response.

This one is not on Nico, it's on the Mavs new owners. Besides, who cares, we got the better and a younger player. I was a Luka fan since his RM days, still can't believe he's a Laker :)

I thought he joined some players with those numbers, not that he was the first ever in yhe franchise to have those numbers, that’s insane. Also it is crazy how much attention he draws, someone is open at all times when he has the ball, he draws 2 defenders on pretty much every possession, and he draws 3 defenders way more than any player I can remember on the Lakers, maybe even more than I remember seeing Kobe draw as regularly.

Yeah it's crazy how much attention he draws and the space he creates. There are some plays where he continues to dribble even after he's doubled, slowly dragging the 2 defenders with him to a 3rd defender, and then passes out of the triple team creating a 4 vs 2. It's just mind-blogging stuff.

someone should gif his confusion about it being his highest scoring quarter (3:50 mark-ish). it's like a more light-hearted zo gif.

Doncic is not fast, doesn't jump high, ain't flashy but makes the plays. Lulls defenders to sleep, able to take contact too while finishing. Beautiful touch on that shot. Always thought what it would be like to have Bird and Johnson on the same team. Well...him and James are a good facsimile.

Luka is such an incredible floor raiser. Look at Hayes, for example -- he seems to be at the right place, at the right time pretty consistently now. Luka completely transformed his game, and Jax now gives us a lot more effort defensively as well. I am sad AD had to go for all that to happen, but we're winning games, so I'm not going to complain.

He's reading and beating every defensive coverage at his own pace . He knows from where and when the defensive help is going to come.

It's crazy how it seems to be so easy for him

Doncic slows it down to probe the defense to his advantage.

I feel real pity for the Mavs fans. Like, genuine pity at this point. Usually, I prefer to talk trash and laugh with glee at a fanbase when we fleece them in a trade, or beat them in a big game. What's happening to the Mavs fans right now... I can't imagine being a fan of that franchise. I'm a very loyal guy when it comes to my teams, but if any Mavs fan wanted to walk away from that team, I would not blame them in the slightest.

Feel bad for AD who was a great player and Laker. All his advanced stats indicated he was a top 10 player in the league at a minimum when healthy and arguably was 1b to 1a to freakin Lebron James on a title team. Even Dwayne Wade can't say that.

That being said he never got consistent enough with his jumper to be in that conversation of clearly the best player on the planet and Luka is one of those guys.
Luka looking far more nimble now when driving so he's getting his legs - he's a very good athlete in terms of balance, start and stop and not to nitpick but you can see he actually does have the ability just to blow by people on drives.

Lose the chub Luka go for that best player on the planet belt that unfortunately AD just quite couldn't reach

Maybe they can try to flip AD, get a young player and some picks and go tank hard next season? Just an idea. Mavs fans, Kyrie and AD did not deserve this.
