Did Dallas trade us James Corden instead of Luka?

Should we start to be concerned with the 3 point shooting? 1-9? I’m a tiny bit concerned. I mean probably not in the end based on the one he did hit, which was insane, a Kobe/Jokic kind of shot.

It's going to be a few more weeks before we see the real Luka. Everything is just rimming out or he's just off in terms of timing.

Underestimating that he missed both a lot of time and this is a whole new team. He's played in the same system for years so two big changes

I think I’m more concerned that he keeps jacking them up. I understand it’s part of Luka’s game, but at some point you have to realize you aren’t hitting and start to attack the basket more.

This is how he plays .. This is the downside of the trade , Lakers have become the usual modern NBA team : jacking up threes without running much of an offense

Great players always expect to make the next one no matter how many they miss. He is just going to play himself into shape and shoot his way back into rhythm.

i thought the shooting curse didn't apply to stars?

but in all honesty, i'm not surprised that his best shooting game so far as a laker has been on the road. he's probably still adjusting to the bright lights at staples

The shooting was off, but we're getting glimpses of when he's clicking and you could just tell how crazy our offense is going to be.

I don't have tons of stats on hand, but I recall a lot of games when Kobe just couldn't throw a pea in the ocean...then he hits an absolute clutch shot in the last 3 minutes of crunch in the 4th.

The new Slovenian Kobe we done got hit a 28 footer to stop a MIN rally with 3:39 left and at the 23rd sec on the shot clock. And I think he had Jaden McDaniels in his jock. How did that effer go in? Shot disappeared briefly in the rafters, then dropped through: swish!

Hookah Doncic looks terrible so far, except when he looks good. And when he looks good it's insanely good.

We joke about what a fatazz he is, but check out the way he uses his body at the rack, and when boxing out. It's really unstoppable. He just has to hit those bunnies.

Now, if he could drop 20 lbs...I'm listening. And you are, too.

Those shots will start falling. I expect him to basically get back to his usual percentages between now and the playoffs.

Can't make what I call practice 3, but makes one of the most ridiculous long range shots to beat the clock. Go figure.

And, I am just going to add, he is not Serbian.

Just hope he doesn’t break to backboard during a game with some of these bricks he’s shooting while working himself back into game shape.

Def not a great offensive game from Luka. He is getting the shots he usually takes but def isn't hitting them (duh). I do think he is still working through the leg issue. I think Lakers fans are funny because we are like "top 5 player in the NBA for the last several years.... sucks."

Anyway, crazy fall out of bounds 3. Lebron and Austin are holding it down till the Luka Don finds his groove.

Luka has time to get himself right before the playoffs plenty of time, but my concern is we need him to be the guy we saw against Denver consistently in the playoffs. I don’t think we can win a ring getting the version we’ve gotten of Luka for the 5 out of the 6 games he’s played.

He was awesome against Denver and led the way that’s why we destroyed a legitimate title contender on the road that has owned us the last three seasons. That is the guy we need by the time postseason rolls around.

It's nice that we are winning and Luka hasn't found his shot yet, which I absolutely believe he will eventually.

Yes, but his father Sasa (who I knew personally when we were in high school) is actually half-Serbian and half-Slovenian himself and was born in Slovenia. His native language is Slovenian and he's a Slovenian national.
