He can be our more athletic Mad Dawg.

Off to Vegas, baby! I'll be there through the Monday game. Super excited. I'll post my observations when I get back on Tuesday. Go Lakers!

Agree with all of your points and thanks for posting this Chillbongo. I'm loving Randle of course - so great to see him in action again. And Clarkson looks unreal right now. Black looks solid and Nance has got some hops just like his old man. He looks like a good pick up. Not seeing what Mitch saw in Brown just yet, but maybe after he gets his sea legs. Russell looking pretty weak as well.

I like some of the activity I saw from Upshaw - setting picks, screen and roll. He also looked a little winded before he came out - that must be the lack of conditioning. But I like him and he seems to me to have a great feel for the game and man, I hope he can get himself straight and get a new chance here. I am rooting for him. He seems like he could have a real career if he gets himself all together.

Liking the looks of our young guys a lot.

If there's one thing Byron is good at, it's getting his team conditioned.

So I've watched the video a handful of times. I noticed right away that Randle ball watches CONSTANTLY. He's got to be more active looking for his man. Nance had those putback dunks because Julius was too busy watching to box out. He also seemed to trail a few times getting back and Nance went coast to coast because Randle didn't pick up the ball on the way down the floor. Black looked visibly frustrated by it. This isn't an indictment on him necessarily, these are young player problems. Julius has so much to prove that I think he wants to go out and score almost every possession to validate himself in some ways. I hope someone can calm him down and keep him on the right track and remind him to do the little things.

Russell really looked 19 at times out there. I'd love to see him hit the gym a bit after Summer League. I saw some encouraging things though getting to spots on the floor.

Clarkson looked like the best player because frankly he was in the best shape and was working the hardest. Randle looked like the most talented.

My favorite though was seeing Upshaw directing traffic a couple of times and reminding Buycks(?) when to move and cut. It's great to see him grasping the offense quickly. He was also clearly gasping for air at certain points in the video. I loved his screen setting. Hopefully he can come in and play a few great minutes before getting a breather and regrouping.

Put $20 on black for me and $100 on the Lakers to win it all...... okay, just $20 on black.

Agree. And the one who surprised me the most was Nance. Kid has hops!

Always moving and seemed to make good decisions on the floor. I liked him a lot. I can see why teams loved him after his workouts.

Nance is the most athletic guy on the team right now. Speed, quickness and hops are pretty amazing. I like his hustle.

Yup, exactly what I wanted to post. Clark is the most mature player and feels very confident. In terms of raw talent, Randle is just too much for most guys to handle. He's either too strong, or too fast to be stopped easily. And I love how he is pushing the ball Lamar style.

Weird, I don't see the promo, only the regular one.

Ah, I see - it's just in the games list.

Clarkson clearly looks like the best player out there. The other guys will learn though.
Lotus Flower needs to calm things down a little and pay more attention on defense.
Tarik and Upshaw going at it was fun, saw a lot of communication from them.
Nance was surprising, dude was high energy everywhere.
Russell, please help Anthony Brown with his dribbling please.

Excited for the game later today, wish I was there though.

I have high hopes for Russell, but I watched the scrimmage footage, he looked pretty bad.

Thanks Chillbongo. Echo all the good takes from others above. Like to add that at 5:15 there's a real nice last second change of direction to his left going to the hoop by Nance, with a nicely put up reverse layup with his right hand. Sweet! Kid has hops and he is good sized, quick and coordinated.

Clarkson feels like he's the best player on the floor I bet and he's not wrong. He's the only one the court that was a All-Rookie 1st Teamer. He was playing a video game on easy mode in that clip.

Randle is just in another class of talent from the rest of them.

Russell we didn't see much of, so I'll reserve any criticism. Plus Byron said he was winded after three grueling days of practice.
