And that's before Luka greatly lightens his on ball responsibilities. If we get Team USA Bron, playing more of that Dray Green role... just not dirty, he might be playing until Bronny has a son and he joins both of them.

i just said next year because how long has this foot thing been going on? it's got to be constant treatment and management, and that has to be pretty exhausting, mentally.

i agree that we might be able to preserve him a bit more with luka in the fold, but i'll believe in a reduced lebron role when i see it. we're on our third coach since pretty much everyone agreed that we needed to get his minutes down, and he's still at nearly 35 per game.

i'd love to get that number down to 28 or so.

Yeah I can see that happen.
Also to push us to go all-in next year and maximize Luka/Bron window.
I think he'll also evaluate how it is to play with Luka. I think it can also show him a new angle, where he can play differently and maybe find a way to extend his career.

I think Luka unlocks a lot of things that AD couldn't. You have someone as good as Bron handling the ball and that never happened in his career. Luka is also someone that can go and score at will, so Bron doesn't have to carry late in the 4th which I imagine is tiring.

I think this current context actually benefits Bron and may give him the idea to extend it. He's still a top20 player which is unbelievable

I've always thought LeBron could still be 2014 Boris Diaw on the Spurs when he's like 48 years old. The problem when you get into your late 30s/40s seems to be that it takes so much around the clock, 12 months a year work to keep your body in the right place that one significant injury collapses the house of cards. It happened to Duncan in 2016; he was (IMO) the best player on a championship team two years prior, All-NBA 3rd Team in 2015, looked basically the same the first few months of the 2016 season, but then he hurt his knee and declined so rapidly in season that they were playing David West over him in the 2016 playoffs and he retired.

I think we're going to see further big swings this offseason to try and make us an inner circle contender going into next season, while also having the depth to really let LeBron cruise in the regular season.

He could play for years yet and still be better than most. I can see the change in him, he has the peace about him and is going to retire after this season. Retire while great instead of as a broken down bum.

And not play a full season with Lufa?

With reduced minutes while making 50+ mil?

Yeah I was thinking about the work you need to put in too. He clearly loves it, but it's tiring for sure because you can't skip a day.
But he's been doing thing nobody thought possible so I think he just doesn't think like us or any other person in the planet. So it's completely unpredictable.

I must say I'm less eager to see him leave than I was with AD. I'm curious to see this version with Luka, I think it will benefit him.

I think with Luka LeBron can play until Bronny's son will be in the league lol

i'd agree, but i think having another full year with his son (who may crack the rotation, tbh), with luka, and with a proper farewell tour...can't see him hanging them up this summer.

i'll be surprised if it's not next summer, though.

Was that the dunk of the season?! At least for our team, it has to be, right?

Dude is still crazy at 40. We’d really be a bottom feeding team without lebron.

He seems irritated with the lack of offensive and defensive help though.

Rob, work some magic this summer like we know you’re capable of.

    Impressive s***.

2nd night of a back to back. Plays 38 minutes and drops a 40 piece. He's serious about this season, cause this has all the pre-game reasons for him to sit. Instead we get this.

Well if Luka isn't watching this and thinking i got to take care of my body like Lebron, nothing is going to be able to get through to him

Luka might also take note that nobody is.hunting a 40 yo Lebron which is just freaking bonkers. Let that dude with the dreads get an easy look but otherwise hes again a plus defender both in iso and help
