Man what a show that was, he wasn’t 100% and could have sat out as well. He had a damn good defender on him and they’d occasionally throw another one at him, but he’d make the right pass or get by both. From undrafted to carrying the Lakers to big wins without our main stars.
Holy crap JJ ... really? Way to fire him up and believe in him. Holy crap AR .... seriously!!? Hold my beer Coach .... I got this. What a baller.
Sounds like possible trolling??? Surely nobody that watches him play would want to trade him. Thank you for the intro...lol.
Luka will join that list. That is pretty much guaranteed. Last year he was averaging 34/9/10. He has the fourth most 40-point triple doubles in NBA history (more than Wilt). I think his highest scoring big stat game this year (just before the injury) was 45 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists which he dropped on Golden State. But his best is probably - get ready for it (vs. NYK) — 60 points, 21 rebounds, 10 assists. So, I can't see him not joining this awesome list eventually, which, weirdly enough, now features two of his teammates?! I wonder who did the biggest box score stuff of every laker ever, at least in modern history?
Want to add to my original response. AR left it all on the court today. You can see he was gassed at the end which shows how hard it is to put a team on your back. I love this kid, his heart, his drive, IQ and yes.... He is HIM. Additionally: the DOOM is going to be fricken awesome with AR hate. Mmmmmm
My boy is morphing into a star before our eyes. A beautiful thing to see, I said he was going to be a better player than Caruso soon, when he was a rookie, he's shattered that ceiling. Salute!
Just a legend! That’s a huge performance to keep our winning streak going. Guy produces at an all star level and earns close to the league average. If we win a championship in the next two seasons, it’s partly because of the value Reaves provides.
I'm not being negative.. It was an honest question. Great to have options. Reaves may be my favorite Player in the league right now, but JJ has some rotation issues to work out.
It’s just the way it is. You can only have one player go off for a 40 point triple double a night and the pecking order is Luka -> Lebron -> Reaves. It’s why I mentioned the bench, I want him to have a large amount of usage and opportunities.
"It's just the way it is." Oh really? Who says .... you, that you have to have more than one player go off for a 40pt triple double. Or even one? Come on you're smarter than this about B-Ball. Any night if needed and someone's cold, sure it will be great. And what's wrong with the 3 of them cruising out there more like 28-30 point triple double approaching games every time instead? We're easily CAPABLE of THAT ... and it's better basketball. Having a ball playing together, WINNING and dominating. You want now to take 1 of the recently talked about how hard it is now to put together an honest Big 3 team with the CBA the way it's structured now ..... and move him to the bench when we pulled off the IMPOSSIBLE and have an honest to god going to be fire breathing Big 3 again because of HIM, and his incredible internal growth to now giving us All Star performance on a mid level peanut salary .... and no matter how you sugar coat it all about winning .... move him back to the bench. We'll do the winning with the Big 3 in showtime type fashion again. How do you keep ignoring THAT. What do you think AR would honestly think being asked to go back to the bench? What do you honestly think JJ would think of doing him that way? Stagger the minutes and rotations. Stop this AR to the bench nonsense. Besides AR himself is an intelligent good, even if not great defender. 3 incredible players to push the break at any time.
Rob totally blew it by not trading AR! This guy sucks! I mean, he doesn’t put up legendary stats every night.
I’m not sure why you think this is a downgrade? If anything I want him to get as much opportunity as he has now. That’s why I’m saying we should stagger the three guys where we can to get the most out of them. This is my last post on the subject. At the end of the day, JJ will do what he feels is best for the team regardless of our opinions. I’m just happy to see Reaves doing well and hope it continues.
