The last thing we need to hear is the dreaded " two weeks" from our staff

Luka needs to make some strong decisions on extending his career and how diet and staying shape is the key

Hopefully he will watch and learn from LBJ

 

i think the near 270 stuff was from a few months ago, as weezy's post here indicates:

and yes, recurrent calf injuries are troubling, not just because of the potential origin here (conditioning, basically) but because i feel like they're often a precursor to an achilles issue.

that said, i had the same concern with the kind of injuries that AD had been stacking since 2021. they all were kind of foreboding for me.

IF something bad happened to luka's leg, i think he's more likely to recover and be closer to the player he is than AD would in the same situation.

in any case, we need to be very careful in returning luka to the floor, even if it affects lebron's precious timeline. even if it means a bunch of two weeks updates.

Yep there’s his 4(?) foot photo already up in Laker gear. Have to do a good job in PS when you blow something up that big and can stand right next to it.

 

i think it's important to understand that some folks have different body types. up until this year, luka's size hasn't hindered him in any way, much like jokic, who's definitely carrying more fat than luka.

i'm not sure we should be expecting the lakers to do what dallas couldn't accomplish in 6 years. it's not like they didn't try to help him with his conditioning and diet.

 

They obviously need to be slow with giving Luka time to return and not rush him back, but I do feel like a lot of this is damage control by the Mavericks. It seems like to me they’re going out of their way to throw dirt on Luka to justify the trade they made.

 

To be fair Luka did have the body of a 15 year NBA veteran to start this season, so that would make any FO panic..

 

I am going to call him Hryuka.
