LABron James Discussion: The Big 4 0!

yeah, this tends to be my feeling on it. it's why i was glad he showed up and played against washington--we needed that win, and the media and fans would have forgiven and forgotten if he sat and we lost, but he played and played well. this is what that money's for, imo.

i try to appreciate what he does while recognizing the reality that we're kind of asked to be thankful for stuff that should be expected at his salary level.

Some say he’s mister empty stats and chases stats over winning plays and ends up with lots of turnovers. I don’t think they can say that today.

sure, there are five turnovers, and he is the all-time career leader in them, but the 30 point triple double on the biggest stage at the age of 40? That’s pretty crazy.

 

Checking out of a game in the mecca of basketball after carrying (basically) a wire to wire win against a legit Knicks team for your son after you secured a 30+ point triple double... I'm not sure it will ever get better for a NBA player ever.

Why do fans keep insisting the Lakers are trading LeBron? I keep saying people saying this crap all over X and social media. I think the plan I would think is for him and Luka to play alongside each other. Unless LeBron demands a trade I can’t see the Lakers trading him.

 

He has a no trade clause. Unless he wants out and picks a specific team, he's not going anywhere.

 

Lebron knew .. He tried to trade AD for KD 2 seasons ago

 

The notion that this means we’re trading Lebron - while not impossible - seems far fetched. We just traded AD for a top 3 superstar. We have some holes that might be tough to fill this season, but there’s potential to compete now and for the next decade.

You think LeBron wouldn’t want to play with Luka? ALL eyes will be on the Lakers the rest of this year and next. Can’t imagine LeBron doesn’t want to be part of that.

 

yeah, said in another thread i don't see why this means lebron's gone. i actually think he was surprised by it, though, and if he asked out, we would honor it. i just don't think he will.
