As I've said, I'll give Rob until February. If nothing significant materializes, I'm all for blowing it up ASAP.
I acknowledge everything being said but this is what I truly can’t stand. Team just rolled over in the third. Again.
50-17 runs shouldn’t happen. That said, the roster is the same one that was 10-4 (should have been 11-4) until this. That’s not a personnel loss; it’s a no guts loss, and it looks like nobody showed in the 2nd half. trading two firsts for grant wouldn’t have changed this, and it’s still pretty sad that Irwin has waited for weeks for a loss like this to claim he’s once again correct that we needed to do…something (this continues to be my favorite part btw)… when I saw this part of the schedule, I knew what was coming, though. Love to know which summer move was going to stop it. How many unprotected firsts should we have given for walker kessler (so that jokic could take his personal campaign out on him)?
No clue. I think trade deadline is Feb 6th. Good thing: if nothing happens, I can tune out the rest of the season. LOL.
Pippen Jr had 30 pts on 13-16 shooting against the Bulls. Just looking at his stats; he's been alright. He's turning himself into a rotation piece.
Yeah. I know. From what we are seeing from JJ at this point, I can’t imagine he isn’t pushing for some moves now that he’s getting a real feel for the roster.
I actually liked him when he was with us and thought he had potential. I understood us moving on at the time. but watching him is just another reminder for me that we need a guy with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove out there. Fire in the belly or whatever Tex Winters used to say. Lol.
I liked Huff, GPII and Scotty Jr when they were here, the front office have no patience whatsoever developing guys so now we suffer with barely NBA’ers as role players needing development
yeah, there's been a lot of hand-wringing about the bench this year, but we're getting worked in first and/or third quarters on the regular and with our big guns in the game. lebron's defense has finally fallen all the way off, and even AD's defense isn't where it has been in terms of impact (it's actually pretty meh, by the numbers). these next few games might be the start of some very bad times.
Can’t they just run a play for Dalton?!? 1 or 2 plays to get him open, after his explosive 37 pts he was virtually ignored the next game and Reaves was the main culprit chucking contested shots in the Magic zone defense
Could be wrong, but I’m sensing egos coming into play here. Our stars certainly don’t want to give up shots, and Austin was the man here before Knecht, the 3rd star, and Dalton looks like he could be better than him soon enough. The spotlight is bright on the Lakers, must suck to potentially feel like you’re losing some of it to a rookie. I would be feeding that hot hand until it falls off, and it will, all rookies hit that wall, but whatever I guess, hierarchy, team politics and all that.
Then again AR and Dalton are really close friends apparently as per Dalton saying it with AR wanting to help him any way he can. But still yeah there could be some of that especially at the top at least a little. It also could be just as far as the offense Dalton and the team maybe are better with him in the starting lineup rather than Rui. JJ being smart as he is and as good a communicator ought to be able to spot it if it’s there and hopefully effectively deal with it.
