and whatever, we can't prove their internal policy if it's not written, but embiid was most certainly just stating the truth about their unspoken policies.

just don't schedule those teams for national tv games--and attach a bigger bonus for being scheduled to national tv games. i promise if there was a policy that if your two highest paid players don't play 65 games the previous season limited your eligibility for high dollar issues, the internal policies would change overnight.

this guy is certifiably nuts and incredibly lucky his management built the perfect team for this era and nobody got hurt.

that said, i saw someone else (another crazy person, tbf) assert this a while back in terms of a solution to the slowdown from FTAs/the foul out issue. and it's not totally crazy. but the game would change fundamentally.

i've pushed the changes on the corner three for years, but my solution is expand the court size instead just just cutting off the arc. that's less revolutionary than the power play, though.

and let me reiterate: the power play exists in games with goalies, which according to my dad are b******* sports.

Based on this timetable, he'll miss at least the next 11 games, with the earliest possible return date being Nov. 21 against Minnesota.

 

Great news for us, Quickley is out at the moment too. Curious to see if we can get a blowout, would be amazing for the rest of the road trip

 

That's good news for us though, if we can clear a roster spot, or if we need him due to injuries (hopefully not).

(Allegedly) lol..but seriously, we have what we have. We are going to take a thumping or two along the way, but I expect Rob to make a roster move, sometime around the middle of December.

 

You expect him to wait that long? Ya, I don't think they have that kind of time. Max Christie is abysmal. Gabe Vincent is a hair better and Dalton is gonna need more NBA time to be something productive every game.

 

He said that he needed 20-25 games or so, in order to evaluate what we have. I'll take him at his word. I think we both determined that a move was needed during the offseason, but it is what it is. We should bounce back in the next two games though.
