I seriously would love to see who has led the NBA in air balls the past 3 years. Has to be Russ??

When will teams learn not to sign Westbrook?

This will be his last team. If he fails here, or should I say: continues to fail, he will retire. My prediction.

This all seems accurate, but replace Russ with KCP, Bruce Brown, and Jeff Green, and Denver probably wins the West again imo. They lost at the margins due to $ and bad decisions, and that's enough in the stacked West to drop them from 1st to 4th or so.

    Let Russ be Russ!

I still predict they will release him. I just don't think they will tolerate his nonsense. He doesn't play winning basketball, and I think they actually care about that even if they no longer have the squad to win it all.

i don't think so, and i said so when they won their lone ring that they weren't a budding dynasty (when everyone was swearing they were). but i agree they'd be a lot better right now had they kept their squad and not added russ...almost like another team that won a ring recently...

Could Denver have retained both Brown and KCP at their current prices or the luxury tax would have been way too big ?

their payroll is only at 177 right now--below the first apron. brown and kcp both make 23 per right now (more than gordon, who has a raise coming). so add 46 and maybe subtract 13 for zeke naji and dario saric? that would put them well over the second apron. they could have just kept kcp and probably stayed under the second apron, but they'd have basically no backup bigs (sound familiar?).

the cap will rise, but murray and gordon will each make about 10m more next year, i think, so it won't solve too much of the issue.

they got their ring at just the right time--before murray was getting full max. they're now learning what two full maxes and a couple expensive support players does to your depth. and they've been pretty lucky, health-wise, too.

LMAO. Not only is it hideous and atrocious, it's super disrespectful and lame. You "honor" one of your best players ever in franchise history with a statue where he's celebrating some other guy who left town after a few years.

I think it’s as you earlier suggested to play with Pops in Cleveland.
