Media is working they a** off to show who is Bronny but he is 55 pick
    how about those two
Bronny James is tied for the 2nd WORST plus/minus in the preseason so far, along with Jordan Poole and 2nd overall pick Alex Sarr
Worst plus/minus of this season is still owned by John Konchar from «Memphis» with the result -48
Konchar was undrafted ,but nobody gives a f*** about him.

I'm perfectly fine with him getting that shift out of the way with Bron during opening night or opening week. They'll want it at home and on national TV. They NEED to get it over with because until they do the question will be looming at every practice, every pre-game, and every post-game. A 3 minute shift in the 2nd or 3rd Q will not make or break one of those games.

It's a really cool moment for Bron, who's the face of our team (like it or not), is still the face of the league, and will go down as the GOAT career of any NBA player. Whether he's your GOAT or you want to take the peaks of MJ or Kobe or Magic or Cap over him, but the longevity of which he's been a world beater. If you put his averages on pieces of paper, pull them out of a hat you can't tell the difference from him at his true prime vs. last season. Enjoy it. Celebrate it as a fellow dad/Lakers fan/fan of cool s*** that has never happened before and might not happen again. Then we'll move on from it and everyone can shut up about how he's the downfall of Lakers civilization.

He probably rips up a knee this year and then leans on Bronny to limp off of the court for the last time.

    and everyone said amen

These are two separate arguments and the media, fans and Bron haters have really muddied it into one.

1: Lakers aren't serious about winning. My notes on this summer are well documented. That's a fair argument based on the roster we're opening the season with.

2: The Bronny of it all. Bronny as the 15th man does not change that. If anything, it motivates Bron and gives him a joy, motivation and a reason to get up for some of these games. Two decades in, you need that. He's on record saying he dialed it up when his kids/family came to the game to watch him the last couple years. What do you think happens when they kid is on the bench?

    Two years of development needed.
Too bad the media won’t be shy about incessantly regurgitating the insane expectations.

Coach Chris Brickley: «Bronny is much better than they think of him. He will have a long career in the NBA
Brickley – is one of the most popular NBA personal trainers. He worked with many league stars, including LeBron James and his son Bronny, who was chosen «Lakers» under the 55th number on the 2024 draft.

«He wants to get better. As I think Bronny much better than people think of him. From ball ownership to throw, athleticism and IQ – all this is much higher than is commonly thought.

I expect him to have a long career in NBA», – said Brickley.

Had a few moments and nice shots plus an oop. That’s hopeful. He and Olivari ought to do well in G-League and make a nice tandem on perimeter D. Looking more relaxed out there.

Definitely the best Jr has looked out there, especially on offense.

I think he's going to do well in the G league. Maybe now some of our fans, will stop claiming that he doesn't deserve, to even be a late 2nd rd pick.

He's a good second pick. Good draft year for the Lakers. They got a guy who clearly should have been a high lotto type of talent and Bronny looks like one of the best second round prospects

If they had just picked Whitmore last year sigh.

I think Bronny has the potential to have a long NBA career. He has so good defensive instincts and I think enough offensive bag to develop.

I like him for a 2nd round project. At least much more than Lewis

For last 30 seasons only two players selected with 55 pick scored more than 1,500 points in their NBA career: Patty Mills and E’Twon Moore (Aaron Wiggins should join them this season already
Only 11 players scored at least 100 points. Almost half of them– 13 of 30 – scored exactly 0. A third did not even go to the play in NBA games

Last season, four №55 picks played in the league: Wiggins (2021), Patty Mills (2009), Guy Santos (2022, so far only 23 games for Golden State and Isaac Wong - Indiana Pacers who only played 1 game in his NBA career and that’s it

Throughout the history of the league, there were only 5 players selected with the 55th pick who average more than 10-points.
Mark Blount (draft-1997, three seasons), Moore (twice), Kenny Gattison (1986) and Em Bryant (1964).

So basically if there's no Patty Mills nobody will ever give a f*** to this pick:LLLLLebronlaughing::Noddingyes:

i like his ability to finish in traffic with his off hand, and i like that when he has time on the catch and shoot his mechanics look pretty good. on defense, i like that he has dad's instincts on shotblocking and similar intensity on fighting for position.

what i need to see is dogged ball denial and better on-ball defense (feel like i've seen some guys get a step on him too easily).

he's got a head for the game from his years playing with an all-time great, imo. he doesn't quite have the physical gifts, but that hoop iq and the pretty decent physical gifts he does have can mean he outperforms most late second round picks and is thus a win.

max lewis has serious speed and decent size but basically zero feel for the game on either end. it's an interesting juxtaposition. my money is on the hoop iq and strength over the speed and verticality.
