luka could show up looking like late-career diaw and still maybe lead the league in scoring. if ant blows a knee out, it's curtains.

He also moonlights as a WWE wrestling announcer so that probably blows those numbers up

Pretty comical the disrespect. Just give us reasonable health …. for LeBron and AD especially …. and let’s play the games.

I don't think the NBA insiders, really believe, that coaching was our problem. Judging from these predictions, injuries either. Yet we had two All NBA players, that were for the most part, both healthy and engaged all season. Stumper...

Lakers do not deserve any respect. The team is run by the morons who aren't in charge. I think that standing is likely to happen than not.

Chicago with the Baby Lakers back court of Lonzo/THT is going to be fun.

I say Chicago finish the job and trade for both Brandon Ingram and Julis Randle as well, both are on the outs with their teams this season lol.

the press also thinks rudy gobert is bill russell.

that said, we've won 43 and 47 games the past two years, so expecting a number between them isn't crazy.

i think the pels, warriors, and grizzlies have just as many concerns as us, though, and i see no reason to have them all ahead of us.

i keep expecting sacramento to fall off, too, but i guess fox and sabonis are enough to keep them above .500.

anyway, we're a bottom-half of the playoff picture team, like several others.

I think they are also factoring in that JJ will need some time to adjust which is fair IMO. Hoping we stumbled to a good hire but expecting a guy with no experience to come in hot out of the gate just seems unrealistic to me.

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that if LeBron and AD are healthy, they couldn't get us past those teams if the race is tight down the stretch.

We're 5 wins below the 5th seed. I don't understand the drama. I'm sure the 5th to 11th will mostly be decided by health. Apart from that, it's minor details and key wins here and there
If Bron and AD play 65+, we'll be good. If AD misses a big chunk, we're screwed

I'm a big fan of the Lavine trade with the caveat it has to be a salary dump move. No lotto picks and no Reaves and you actually make the Lakers a contender and Bulls still get to salary dump and some minor assets back. Has to be a Wiggins GS like trade (DLO strikes again!)

I do think it can be done without giving up Reaves or picks. Lavine's stock is low right now so there is a chance of being able to scoop him up without giving up everything.
