So sad and pathetic this bum Franchise is. They blew an opportunity though- they should have been in the shape of toilet bowls.
i think the funniest thing about this guy is his indomitable spirit. he's constantly writing laker hit pieces and clipper praise and just getting smashed by reality, over and over. and yet he churns. https://www.theringer.com/nba/2024/...eles-clippers-kawhi-leonard-james-harden-2024
Even a total Clipper homer agrees Westbrook is addition by subtraction. @Slick2021, I think you are the last one standing. The headlines from their offseason concern who went out the door: George and Russell Westbrook (whose departure is addition by subtraction).
the irony is that losing russ actually wasn't addition by subtraction for the clippers, as he was ok in a 20mpg bench role! he was a net positive for the clippers! this guy thinks kris dunn is a clear improvement, but that's really an open question at this point. people (including me) fuss incessantly about the lakers lack of depth at center, but after zubac, they have bamba (or, lazier jaxson hayes). the author, with a straight face, suggests pj tucker and batum at center for stretches. i mean, if you can buy that line of reasoning, then we have the center position shored up just fine! he then tries to argue that the clippers' best case scenario is higher than anyone's (he uses careful phrasing, but that's what he's implying). that's bananas. absolutely not. no. last year, maybe (though i still had boston ahead of them). but they just traded george for batum and derrick jones jr. that's pretty much the balance of their offseason. your ceiling got lower. your floor was basically unaffected, though.
yeah, i don't believe in karma really--i think kawhi's injury problems were always going to happen (and they're partially mental, imo). but he definitely knows he made a mistake picking the clippers over us. and i'm not even sure we didn't dodge a bullet. it's not like the rest he got playing with other stars did much for him there, either. but he'd have another ring here at least. and he would have played for the varsity.
he heard about our medical staff, and had no choice but to choose the Clips Staples Center just lost a lot of revenue hosting the tenants though. This will affect thousands of people in the area who are vendors who depend on those additional 39 home games (2 shared with Lakers). all that being said, good for them to get their own place, and good for us that we are the sole tenants for basketball in that building. #toiletwinning
I think their ceiling lowered to “no chance at all” they make it out of the West. At least when Robotic Cornrows did his yearly postseason breakdown, PG was there to pickup the scoring load. Now, who’s going to step into that role?
Zubaca ,he just signed close to 60 millions 3 year's contract LA Clippers center Ivica Zubac has agreed to a three-year, $58.6 million contract extension, tying him to the franchise for $70 million through the 2027-2028 season, his agents Mike Lindeman P.S I think if he would still play for Lakers he maybe would be paying 30 millions
Yeah, I still hate commenting on him being a Flipper. We can’t really laugh since we haven’t had a real center since Lopez(Marc was a shell of his former self when he played for us).
so messed up that we let lopez walk and traded zubac for nothing because we felt like big lumbering centers were a thing of the past, and now we'd sell our souls for one. don't just ride the trends.
