not what guy? dlo's as useful as michael porter jr., imo. is he also "not that guy"? he's as useful as reaves, tbh, whom everyone loves.

simons is like dlo on offense but twice as bad defensively. but he's playoff proven because...he's never been there?

who are the clippers trading for him? he makes 25 million. norman powell and tucker's corpse? how are they meeting cronin's 2 1sts minimum when they literally do not have two firsts to trade even if they desperately wanted to do so?

Anfernee is one of the worst defensive players in the league in his spot, maybe the worst.
I appreciate Jerami Grant for a lots of reasons, I hope we will not try to get Simons because we don't need him.

don't you understand, he's simply "not tinkerbell" which means...immediate profit?! nevermind that he's performed worse than dlo both now and when dlo was the same age simons is now; he didn't underperform against denver three years ago and thus is an upgrade.

Hell yeah! And have world peace and end starvation while we’re at it?

But yeah that would NOT suck.

Meh...Tinkerbell is not as useful as Porter Jr or Reaves. He disappears in the playoffs, again...what does the regular season stuff matter here? We aren't here for regular season celebrations. Redick claims that winning a chip is the goal, if that's the case, Tinkerbell is absolutely not that guy, that you want in your rotation. Hell..if he played as well as Reaves or Porter Jr in the playoffs, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Shrug..I like Simmons , he has potential, I'm not concerned about his defense in Portland, we aren't trading for him. What the Portland owner actually wants for these guys, I have no idea, but I guess we'll actually find out when they get traded. But NO..I don't believe either of those guys get traded for 2FRP. However..we shall see.

No he is not Tinkerbell, and Chokeolo must go. Absolutely

He won't be coming here but I'd wager that Simmons at 25 is the superior player moving forward. Wherever he lands.

again ... regular season record matters so the team's not gassing itself with the late push just to win the play in game(s) to get into the playoffs and then face the toughest ranked matchup out of the gate, in that position. Like this year with your boy Teflon Darvin easily costing 4 or more wins by his stubborn stupidity during the season.

Dallas went to the Finals as the 5th seed dude. Where did the top 4 seeds in the West end up? Home watching Dallas in the Finals. So miss me with that jazz.

Hell the Heat went to the Finals as the 8th seed.

The point of the comment was who gives a s***, how useful Tinkerbell is in the regular season, when he's going to disappear in the playoffs?

Oh..Gee..say we won 4 more regular season games, and then lost to Minnesota or Dallas in the 1st rd. Whoopee damn doo.

If this is the roster we'll start the season with, that's another L on Pelinka.

yeah, it's totally nuts. "we should get our hands on a guy who can handle, pass, and shoot well from three both off the dribble and off the catch. if only we could find one!"

And the 82 games of the season who cares if he plays well and helps win a few on his own …. because physicality of playoffs usually brings some of that performance down. Seedings in the post season are overblown.

we also conveniently ignore playoff games where he showed up and sometimes saved us (feel like at least one game each vs. memphis and gs).

anyway, i'm not a dlo stan. i just think the the way both fans and, apparently, opposing gms think of him is not accurate. and others have pointed out that he's in the nether-region of too unreliable for a title team and too good for a tanking/developing team. i get that. to me that just means you accept it and think about how to win with him instead of how to trade him for pennies on the dollar all the time.
