Okay everyone We need to take a big hit of this if we believe he's going to be able to play in the NBA and have any kind of impact
He’s made marked improvement just in the last two games …. for all the he’ll NEVER in his lifetime be able to shoot crowd, PLUS made some impressively successful plays on both offense and defense that showed off some of the physical and strength advantages he’s going to have over many players up to even a few inches taller … and “probably” will wind up defending even bigger than that. He’s going to be an athlete in the league with great strength to be reckoned with. For starters. Shooting form is fine. Playing within himself now with where his handles are.
He has the physical tools….like a raw mini Kawhi, it’s up to him if he develops into something useful in the NBA
A 6'1' solidly built athlete with "thick calves" that only swings "one way" maybe carry this franchise for years to come...
Are you freakin kidding me with this? Seriously, you all are trolling right now? Right? You can't be serious.
Looks a lot better as his confidence grows. There was still a 3 in each of those two games he hesitated on and passes up, but a confident and comfortable Bronny looked a lot better out there offensively. The defense is solid regardless. Just going to be a matter of getting the reps in with South Bay. Few noteworthy tweets from the week pertaining to Bronny... (There's been a couple games since this one so that stat might have changed)
To be fair to the kid, he needs as many minutes and as many playing opportunities as possible to reach whatever potential he has
I honestly would like to know how many hours a day he’s willing to spend in the gym working on everything he needs to do to actually be an NBA player. I don’t agree at all with he shows “nothing” of being capable of ever being one. But obviously he’s not that now and the heart complication most certainly derailed his planned one and done college season contributing to that perception for those that simply dismiss him from ever being a contributing rotation player at some level. But if he doesn’t have that gym rat mentality and hunger to put in all the hours on his own every year then yeah he won’t be. If he does then of course he has a good shot since he has physical attributes good enough to do it, though being short height wise for a combo guard let alone a 2 guard, though wingspan and vertical and strength help mitigate that. Big leap in skills needed of course to ever be considered a combo guard.
He and Bryce know better than anyone what it takes. They've had a front row seat their entire lives. Plus they have the money and blueprint to throw at body maintenance from day 1 (no they're not built like pops but a lot of that can be transferable with the right approach). Bronny's path and role models are high level defenders. You aren't a high end defensive player without serious dedication and a gym rat mind set. It's a thankless job, just ask AD. Honestly he should just ride to the gym with Bron until the South Bay season starts. That ensures he's one of the first two guys in the gym and helps him develop good habits. Maybe shuts up some of the critics about it all being handed to him.
