Wow. There's still hope. And a number of all time great women players apparently that will work with her and coach her as best they can .... for Kobe and for Gigi.

If he wants good? I doubt it. But even if he was good, I thinks tell his son to make his own path and make his own name. I think everyone, including Kobe, would hope he played for the Lakers, but I could see him also being like “You are your own person.” Good or bad. So yeah, there’s a stark difference in personality there

Seems like defense was tougher. Kobe at his peak was so much fun to watch. You tuned in every game just to see the amazing moves he’d pull off.

The pairing of Artest and Battier would have been too much for lesser players to handle. I can’t think of a stronger defensive wing pairing in the modern age and Kobe still overcame their greatness.
And yes, defense was still allowed to be played.

he is, and it colors a lot of his opinions, despite his rep as just an egalitarian hoops lover.

that said, td is underrated, and he's in the same tier as kobe, imo. he was a bad, bad man. terrified me always as an opponent.

I'd never have a problem with someone ranking Duncan higher. I can respect that opinion. He's the true forgotten legend of the past 25 years.

You watch that supercut, how many of those moves were against the other team's best defender? He's doing that stuff on Lebron, Jordan, Bell, etc.

The best defenders throughout his pre- achilles career had no chance verses Kobe. They could only hope and pray that it was going to be an “off night” when facing Bean.

LOS ANGELES -- A statue depicting Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna "Gigi" Bryant will be unveiled in a private tented ceremony Friday outside of Crypto.com Arena, sources told ESPN.

The statue is the second of three planned monuments to the Los Angeles Lakers legend.
Friday's date (8/2/24) holds similar numerology meaning to the February ceremony (2/8/24), representing both of Bryant's uniform numbers (8 and 24) and the No. 2 that 13-year-old Gigi wore on the basketball court.

The statue of the father and daughter is located near the Los Angeles Kings' monument celebrating the team's 50th anniversary. It will be available for the public to visit starting Saturday morning, sources told ESPN.
