The Bleacher Report Live Stream suggested a trade proposal on Saturday, July 6, in which the Dubs would send Jonathan Kuminga, Kevon Looney, Moses Moody, Trayce Jackson-Davis and two first-round picks in 2025 and 2027 to the Jazz in exchange for the pair of 7-footers.
    WTF Danny

    Markannen isn't that difference maker

Utah will likely look to move Markkanen this offseason as it positions itself for high picks in the next couple of NBA drafts, both of which will be stacked.

Markannen is a great player, I think with a good defensive point centre like draymond, they’d be dangerous.

    DeRozan to Sacramento.

I don't know how to post tweets on here.

    We still haven't done anything?

On a positive note, I don't have to watch DeFrozen this year...

On the Twitter app, I press the share button next to a tweet and then “Copy Link”

Then here on LB, I press the “Media” button on the post and paste in the link, but I have to manually change it from “x.com” to “twitter.com”

Smart move by Sac. They didn't give up a first; the fit is still a bit wonky, but they're going for it. They're also probably feeling the pressure of De'Aaron in the background.

I'm not super mad that we lost the race for Klay or Derozan, especially for the contracts they got, but I'm mad that we couldn't find a single team to make it happen. Spurs just made a smaller move earlier today to create space to take on Barnes... Klay and the Mavs are involved in a 6 team trade (6!) to make it happen.

Our recent trade partners have been Magic and Washington... and both those teams aren't bad teams willing to take on whatever we need to send out anymore.

or derozan at 3/74. holy schnikes.

btw--and i don't want an answer from slick here--but nba teams really hate dlo this much? if you're half the league, he was better than most of your roster last year. and him on an 18 million expiring is just an absolute affront to your sensibilities. gtfoh.

I don’t think it’s a hate of DLo, I just think it’s clear DLo has his limitations and not really a cornerstone you can build around at PG long term. He doesn’t fit on a lot of rosters, as most teams have other guards that they’ve already invested in.

I think we’re one of the better fits in the league for him.

Secondary to us, surveying the rest of the league I can see him making sense for Brooklyn, Chicago, Utah. They don’t really have PG’s for the future yet. I could see them being okay handing a big role to DLo, let him run their tank for a year. He’s exciting to watch, has a good enough feel for the game as a facilitator to be sure to feed any other young talent they want to develop, but limited enough that he’s unlikely to put them over the top into a playoff team.

This will be funny if this is the move that fails in Sac and causes Fox to leave...LOL.

    I think it does...

Sounds like Christie officially signed his deal. Lebron is the last domino then, so I guess we should have clarity on a paycut or other salary clearing move soon.

Lebron’s going to want to sign his deal soon, but he can’t sign it if it’s going to put the team over the second apron.

Well I think technically he could, and then we’d briefly operate as a second apron team as we continue to look for a deal to dump a minimum contract or consider stretching someone. But that’s still more restrictive and not ideal

Do we have 5 second-round picks? I'd include a couple of picks to take Reddish and Wood off our hands. I could understand if you don't want to make a trade because the asking price is too high, but I'd like to ask Rob: why not work on the margins and see if we could trade our minimum slot personnel? Have you tried to inquire with other teams to see if we can include a salary dump two of our minimums at the very least to create roster space?

As of now, we don't have the flexibility to do much right now...
