Brown and Kuzma would be nice.
    Rui for Brown
    DLo for Kuzma

Think that works if you throw in Reddish, JHS

those are both adding salary with us up against the 2nd apron, though. we'd have to include more outgoing salary.

as much i was a kuz defender when he was here, i don't really want him back, tbh.

i'm on grant train. really, i'm on the lavine train, but i don't think that's happening.

I'm with you on both. Lavine is actually good value now as you can get additional draft capital for him

Unless we had a salary dump lined up to create a TPE. I do wish Rob would move on though. He's obsessed.

All these trade suggestions are ridiculous. What are the Lakers two biggest needs? Do any of these fix these needs? Maybe Kessler otherwise what’s the point? Just to stay mediocre?

i think a couple teams still have to get to the salary floor, and my guess is rob is waiting that out a bit, too. that could drag.

as for hield, i'm sure he told his crush we had a vet min all warmed up! no way lebron takes a huge cut for hield.

Yeah if we tried to get Hield on a minimum or even TPMLE it wouldn’t have been the worst thing in the world.

But if we had tried to dump players to sign and trade for Hield, that would have been another instance of a prospective free agent saving Rob from himself. I don’t see where Hield fits on this roster. I wouldn’t want him above DLo, Reaves, Vincent, Christie, or Knecht in the rotation

    i have my doubts.

you have to laugh if our big offseason acquisition ends up being Kuzma or Ingram. Both guys who have auditioned with Lebron for at least one full season and failed to impress.

nothing would scream more than a lateral or even backwards move than trading our current depth for one of these guys.

i don't think we're getting either, but at worst, this is a 2 for 1 deal, so no major depth is being sacrificed if it were to happen.

i just wouldn't understand any series of deals that doesn't end with at least one center here.

Well we don’t have details, it’s possible Shams just threw our name into there for clicks and we were never seriously interested or willing to come close to GSW’s offer

But if you take what Shams said at face value, that Hield chose the Warriors over suitors like us because he felt they were a better situation to win, that implies that we were offering something within the ballpark of the GSW offer. Which would have required some combination of sign-and-trade, salary dump, and/or Lebron paycut (I’m very doubtful Lebron would have taken the major paycut to open up the NTPMLE for Hield)

If that wasn’t the case and we were just offering Hield the minimum, a more accurate framing of Shams report would have been “Hield had other suitors like the Lakers but none that had the financial flexibility to match what Golden State was offering”.

If it was really just the minimum, I’d imagine that Hield had several minimum offers thrown at him by more than just the Lakers and the Pistons. The fact that Shams only mentioned the Lakers and Pistons as other suitors further suggests to me that the Lakers and Pistons were offering something that could have viably competed with GSW’s offer

We can't go into next season without having a quality big man to play C

Someone who can play defense and rebound

I mean, given how often we’ve seen players choose other teams over us in free agency for over a decade, I don’t see this as a surprise.

Kuzma seems the most available especially if Sarr wants to play the 4. But not a fan of Kuz for this current team. His wing defense wasn't great last time and now we need it more with an older Lebron mostly playing PF. His rebounding will be welcoming though.

It will be interesting to see, if Lebron can maintain that 40% deep ball this season.

Getting rid of Tinkerbell and landing an impact player. It would be great, if we could find a 5, that could play 25 min a night too. We have 3 biggest needs.

    IMHO
