he's still not off the board? figured someone would have broken off a chunk of a larger exception to entice him by now.
^ I am thinking the same. He is probably waiting. We obviously need to unload a package of players for a decent, but true big, and then bring Spencer back. With that done, we'd actually be in a pretty good shape, especially with the new coaching staff.
i think there are some small consolidation trades using our vet mins to get a backup big that could open a spot for spencer. the fact that he was still in lakers gear at a press conference recently seems like he's hoping/expecting to be back.
He knows DLo won't finish the season and Gabe is either injured or won't be here long, so he has a good chance of finishing the year as the PG of the Lakers
other benefit to dinwiddie waiting is that i think if we sign him to a vet min, we get early bird rights on him next year, which opens up salary options for him that won't be available elsewhere should he have a good year.
