This was brought up with every PG on the market that summer. The Lakers can't do a S&T, they are over the cap, they will either have to resign Shroeder, or make a trade for a PG. We were over the cap without signing Tucker or Caruso.

I get the NBA is probably one of the worst leagues in doing anything about criminal activity, but there's a big difference between what the rest (KCP was a DUI, Rondo was drugs/having a gun) and what Miles Bridges did. It would be a PR disaster, nightmare in this current climate if he signed in LA and there's no way to avoid it.

He's going to stay in Charlotte where no one cares and get paid handsomely.
