Klay can't defend anymore , Lakers need defense and rebounding .

Would be a strange fit with the Mavs as there is little movement in their offense

 

This is the completely wrong take. What does it say about our organization that he would turn down more money and more years to play elsewhere? I cannot fathom why some people still defend this utterly useless, incompetent, and cheap front office.

 

In seriousness, my take was always that LeBron was willing to sign for less if we had a specific guy lined up. I think the names thrown out were examples and not the only people he’d be willing to take less for.

I’m not high on the front office but I still don’t think it’s time to panic. No one off the board is really someone I was clamoring for. In some ways I actually hope that the bigger name guys going elsewhere lets us target a better fit elsewhere.


I do feel like it’s been awhile since a guy chose us when it came down to just a couple of teams. Front office needs a closer.

Lol..I didn't die on anything. Lebron and AD played in 28 and 21 games, together in two seasons. The rest was irrelevant.

you have to talk their language. Obviously something is wrong. Is it ALL Rob’s fault. Sure, that we can argue. BUT it’s some. And it’s more fault to anyone living in Dr. Buss’s shadow and not trying to do what they want.

Dr. Buss AND Jerry both knew how to talk obviously. Mitch learned a little, and then somewhere they stopped knowing how to talk. Whether age or times or whatever, it stopped. Now we are here and WE STILL SEEMINGLY don’t know how to talk to people.

And again, people DIDNT wait for us to figure out Klay before moving on. CP3, PROBABLY, could have been had for cheap, but we didn’t waste time. For whatever reason. And whatever THAT REASON is, should be the thing to fix.

not everything is Rob’s fault. Not everything is LeBron’s fault….but they get some. And whoever wants to take the rest NEEDS TO, and then NEEDS TO fix it.

 

I'll wait until a real reporter shares the contract details. Maybe we offered 4 years $80M, but Irwin is the only person who "reported" that and now Twitter is running with it. We've seen this before where he throws out a wildly inaccurate number with the Hurley debacle. Dude does not have sources. He has people that share what they want him to tweet.

Won't be surprised if we were selling Klay on the MLE, knowing we didn't want to be on the hook for another 3-4 years.

In fairness we really don’t know what the offer was. That deal sounds high to me.

 

Add the 4 years and it would not have been a good contract moving forward
