OMG …. I worked years with a guy named Andre Knecht, and at least in my head and maybe to a few people other than him thought it was pronounced that way. What is it … silent K I’m now assuming?
One of the best things, with a young innovative coach, is we wont have to watch Dalton rot on the bench because the coach is afraid to play young guys or doesnt know how to use him. First year impact.
lol, some really bad questions there didn't help a guy who's not quite media savvy yet. also lots of cringey "hey, lakers, right?! right?!" worthy: <unspoken> as a white guy </unspoken> "how are you going to defend at the next level?" how is he supposed to answer that?! next q: "you can kinda jump, though....if you get it on the break, might you dunk it?" lol, no. i'm going to definitely fumble it out of bounds or something? at least they went with the chalk "who did you pattern your game after?"
LN said that we did not work out Connect or he did not work out for us considering he was mocked at top 8. I guess we have a consensus among the FO to never again not get the best player available in the draft
I do wonder if this influences our pursuit of Murray or our willingness to move AR. Not saying it should or shouldn’t, but who knows.
After the Bridges trade it would be difficult to get any player close to that caliber and not give up less than 3 picks
Come on man, this in NO WAY makes it easier to move Austin. They are completely different players with different skill sets. The only two things they really have in common are their skin color and need to improve defensively.
I think Redick, LeBron and AD all value AR too much, and they ought too be happy landing an NBA ready scoring talent like Knecht who’s another player like AR great for the kind of ball JJ is going to want to play.
If we can get a few more shooters and hit on a big, I’m hyped as hell for next year with an actual basketball mind behind the wheel.
IF (that's a big if) we don't trade it away for a third "star", we have the makings of a nice young core to grow together. We are light up front still. Maybe pickup Wiseman. C: Castleton PF: Rui Wing: Vando / Lewis Wing: Max / Knecht PG: Reaves / JHS
Great pick. And yes, Knecht is a German name. It translates to "servant" and it is pronounced Kneht. No, the K is not silent.
IDK much about him. Typically, what I look for are fundamentals and physical traits. He's 23, and I'm assuming he understands the game at a relatively high level. I haven't saw enough game footage to make that determination. He's 6'6" with with a 6'9" wingspan (same measurements as Klay) and a 39 inch vertical. He's not a bad athlete. On the contrary, he looks good. Does he have 1 great skill that could translate? They say that's his shooting (40 percent on 6 attempts)...that's encouraging. Probably fills a 2/3 role, big enough to fight through screens, big enough to switch onto bigger players and hopefully hold his own? I probably have to go through more film, but he looks promising. We shall see...
Great pick for us- Knecht is a 3-level scorer. I guess if you look at it from the perspective of his defense is not as bad as Dlo, and we maintain Vando in the starting line-up, we are good in terms of defense. However, idk if the combo of Reaves/Knecht would be problematic from a defensive standpoint. Could make Reaves expendable. Knecht sort of a cleaner fit than Reaves, because he is a superior 3-pt shooter and doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective.
