lol, wtf is going on? somebody has to know the real deal here, and it seems spicy.

if phx can get sengun and all their picks back for kd, they need to do it, imo. they're dead in the water right now.

Going to be a very interesting rest of the week to see how both the KD and PG situations play out.

If they do that, we should call about Nurk.

It sure does and sure seems like that is exactly what will happen....

I think getting Wiggins for PG isn't actually too bad of a consolation prize given you don't want to lose him for nothing.

CP3 only makes sense for Clippers if Russ opts out and leaves for somewhere else...he can slot in as Harden's backup PG but man, Cp is reallyyyyy washed (and I hope and pray the LAKERS do not think about picking up CP3 however I would NOT be surprised if JJ Redick wants him since they played together on the Clippers!)

The Suns smoke is very weird...you just signed Budenholzer to a huge deal, and you got a new owner too...trading away KD or Booker would be catastrophic because you'll still have Bradley Beal's insanely bloated deal on your books too....they also JUST signed Grayson Allen to a big extension so it would just be a very weird turn of events for the Suns. However, if they DID blow it up, nobody would blame them.

I meant that team got smoked by the Wolves and Beal looked awful. James Jones is a good GM who built that Suns finals team and looks like he's talking some sense into the new owner now who pushed for all these big moves.

If you have a Big3, they suck in the playoffs, and you're second apron team that is basically your ceiling right there - can't make any move basically.

Suns say they're keeping the big 3 now: so who knows lots of smoke and mirrors.
Teams like Lakers maybe saying they want to keep their pick so not to downgrade the asset

I'm typically more okay with Irwin than most but this is just dumb. I'm sure we'd love to trade the 17th pick for an established, win-now veteran player but it takes two to tango. Bridges just went four 4 unprotected firsts, another protected first and a swap. Our 2029 and 2031 picks are juicy, the 17th pick not so much. Plus the consensus that has formed on this draft seems to be that the top of it is awful compared to most years, but the mid and late first round guys are closer to what you typically see.

Anyways, if we're going to make a big time trade its probably today. The second the 17th pick becomes an actual player instead of a mystery box it loses some value. Seems like we'll get something big out of nowhere a few hours before the draft like the Russ trade, or it will be smaller moves.

I don't know that we will see a deal until we know what's happening with DLO.

I tend to think the front office talk is mainly just that. I expect us to make moves just not for a third "star."

We know who we need to beat and where we struggled last season. JJ made it known that he will embrace analytics. The data is there and shows where we need to get better. Particularly for some of the things it sounds like we want to do.

I don't think the Nets will be the only sellers out there and we will know a lot more tomorrow.

The term star is thrown around way too much anyway. Just get some pretty good basketball players here.

last two champs: two stars and 4 highly qualified role players.

we have two stars and one highly qualified role player, maybe two if you count dlo (i think he's probably as useful as porzingis, for example).

it's going to be difficult, but i think it's possible that with our combination of picks and players we might be able to get two guys at the jerami grant level (which to me is approaching the aaron gordon, derrick white, etc. level). but teams have to be selling those for it to happen.

. Heat expect to lock in their cornerstone center through the 2028-29 season.
    So Davis contract is peanuts

Pat Bev is a clown, but some people pointed out that he is friends with DLo so he might not be talking completely out of his a**

Not sure why GS would want to do it, but DLo for GPII and Looney could be pretty nice
