I'd rather he were healthy and played, but if he can't play, I'm happy to see him shut it down early. Now can we get an injured player exception?

You know. I really do like Steve Nash. And he was honest with us about getting to this point because he wanted the money.

But he just cost us $10 million in cap space that could have changed the entire landscape of this team during the off season.

Wow. What a d-bag. He just made 18 mil for nothing. All cause he got greedy and divorced. Hated him as sun and starting not to like him as a laker.

    No surprises here.
Just wish he would have left last after last season so we could have had 10 mil extra to spend in the free season. What a waste of draft picks.

I like Steve Nash, he's a great guy and all so I hate to see him not be able to play. But this is the best thing for the team. Lin will be running point and he will have a shot to do what he did in NY. Lets bring back LINSANITY!

At least I got to go to his last regular season game as a Laker and see him pass Mark Jackson in assists

    Wow.

If he's out for the season, does that mean we have an extra roster spot?

So it's safe to say this rates as one of the biggest failed acquisitions we've ever had. Although at the time I'd still be in favor of doing it. But man what a disappointment...

I guess Steve Nash could serve as an assistant coach and mentor for the younger guys if he continues on with the Lakers this season. He played pretty well in the first preseason game which looks to be the last game he'll ever play. Not a bad way to go out.

@trodgers Pincus said we'd probably be able to get about 4.8 million for an exception.

The trade for Lin is looking more and more valuable.

At least we should get some of our money back. And sign another player (a PG). This is good news actually, because Lin needs to get minutes.

I respect the Phoenix version of Nash. Sad to see that player call it a career.

The LA version always came off as the off court glamour and money were a higher priority over winning. Good riddance.

We could be sitting on a Lance Stephenson for peanuts right now. :swear:

Yep. His legacy will be costing us money and roster availability. One of the worst Laker tenures ever. Maybe THE worst.

I'll take an open roster spot and an exception please.
