williams changed the culture in phoenix, but that's about it. if you ask suns fans, they'll tell you he had a lot of the same issues we saw with ham (playing favorites, poor rotations, inability to adjust mid-game, terrible timeout management, etc) he was completely outcoached in the last couple suns playoffs runs in his time there

There has to be a reason for being fired two years in a row. Period.

    Yeah. That’s valid.

I just don’t think JJ is a guy we need to be in some kind of bidding war for. I’ve made peace with him as I think it’s the inevitable direction we are headed but he is not a guy I go back and forth with. Here’s the offer, take it or leave it IMO

None of so called "insiders" have no idea what is going on in Lakers especially Wojnarowski.
    It is all clickbait.

JJ Reddick is coach.Offer was made before finals and he already accepted it.He isn't going to Detroit, Charlotte or Sacramento . They just don't want announce it because of C Bags celebration, tomorrow is championship parade.Wouldn't surprise if they will announce it at draft day.

redick would be a goddamn fool to take the pistons job. unless he wants to kill off any chance at future coaching jobs after they fire him

Man wtf, why can this franchise never just not have drama and do something quietly and easily?

I’d be good with that. He’s got a hell of a lot more experience with this franchise than JJ.

    I would too!
It really doesn’t matter to me at this point since we aren’t winning anything with this squad.

It's not the franchise fault. It will always be like this because we're that big. Cleveland also doesn't have a coach and there's no drama. 99% of what is written is false, it gets proven over and over again. Media, beat writers, insiders, etc, they know nothing but they need to write something, so they start stories. And Lakers will always sell.

You just saw it with Hurley that no one knew for weeks. You saw it with Russ trade that had no market and we were going to give picks for him and we got DLo, Vando and Beasley and no one knew about it.

Just a couple days ago Stein reported Detroit was going to keep Monty and he was just fired. Now I'm supposed to trust his next report? These guys miss 100x more than they get it right but people still ride what they write because we want the drama too, we want to discuss it, make projections and so on.
I do it too, but I don't believe anything that I read, I use it to make my own readings and try to understand the angle of where it's coming from. It's a cool exercise, but it's just to pass time, I'm not buying into any reports, we will know when we have to know.

not buying redick to detroit. that would be a big mistake, probably for both parties.

We didn't hear for long time from Lavar what he think ,ask him.All this BS from Perkins or Arenas is getting bored. Now Draymond is suggesting Lakers to hire Monty.
They even reported from somebody who never said anything about NBA because they are college ball insiders and we never going to hear again from them

2 other points on the haslem/det/jj stuff:

    1. i take it as a good sign that employees of rival teams are trying to prevent us from hiring redick. strongest endorsement i've seen!
    2. as unattractive as the lakers job may seem, i'm not sure it's that bad at this point. why? because the media and fans will blame the lakers organization, not the coach. ham's gotten kid gloves treatment, and if our next coach gets fired, he'll get a pity party and a lot of "their expectations are too high, etc.".

walton and vogel both quickly and easily got other hc jobs, and ham was snapped up as an assistant immediately. really only byron scott has had his career ended by failing here. and i mean...c'mon...

but having your first HC gig for a detroit team that has zero top notch stars in the fold and just fired a coach after one year for failing with that dumpster fire of a roster seems...like a risk.

unless he had miraculously taken those lakers teams to the playoffs, byron wasn't getting another HC gig after the lakers anyways. he was only here to command the tank and his previous job with the post-lebron cavs was for the same thing. he was very much overrated as a HC anyways

aside from those two finals trips with NJ in a laughably bad east, he didn't do anything outside of a couple short playoff runs with the hornets

Haslem is a new clown Lol.
I say this not only because I am biased ». called Miami Hit the main threat to C Bags

Miami Heat And I say this not only because I am biased. The last 4-5 years in the East won only us and C Bags – said three-time champion NBA as part of Miami
