He can help for sure, but he’s also a terrible, absolutely horrible person that I will struggle to root for. His antics are part of what are so wrong with a lot of the game today, I’d struggle rooting for him same as I would James Harden, only Paul is even more whiny, entitled, and a dirty player, so it might be harder.

clips are in a tough spot because of the new arena. any other team with that many old/injury prone guys and zero draft capital would've already blown it up, but there's no way ballmer will allow the team to start at the new arena in a rebuild

sixers are stupid for offering PG a max contract because of his age and playoff/injury history, but unless there's another big name FA ballmer can lure over with his endless checkbook, the clips will have no choice but to match philly

But he can only “do” Playoff P because of his Bird rights …. not some other FA. So yeah he probably does have to match. Great!

If Paul is wiling to come for cheap you have to do it, even with the 85% chance he trips over his dog and snaps his leg in half right before the playoffs start.

I disagree. If LeBron weren’t here, we wouldn’t be adding him. He’s a quarter of what he used to be just five seasons ago.

with all the talk of orlando chasing klay, monk, and dlo, i think gary harris and fultz are interesting buy-low/rehab candidates.

fultz could make a ton of cash if he found a role here.

Harris would be a decent pick up, like for the TPMLE or even vet minimum. I don't know why the Lakers would want Fultz. He cant shoot.

he can defend. i'm done with shooters. they come here to die. you can hang your hat on defense. it doesn't have off nights--or off years.

Maybe. Take Bron out, if JJ is here I think that alone gives CP a real chance of being here. Then add in his family lives in LA and he wants be close to them, his off the court endeavors. That's a lot of signs that point where a lot of people don't want them pointing.

I left that podcast JJ was a guest on where he talked about his relationship thinking that if JJ was our coach that CP might be our first call of free agency (if his contract is worked out by then).

I think he should have been an assistant coach by now. He just can’t ever be healthy when you need him the most- at the end of the season.

CP3 should play just enough to not be completely rusty during the playoffs. Yeah, not my fevorite guy because of his antics, but you don't get that kind of experience and leadership for the minimum ever. We paid Duds to be the cheerleader off the bench and Paul is just much better in any aspect of the game -- on the floor or off the bench.

I'd be curious of the price. I really like his size and upside.

Appreciate all the kind words guys. Just doing my part. Sharing what can hopefully generate conversations I'm interested in having (or think others will). Wife tunes me out if I go on a Lakers rant, the dogs just tilt their heads in confusion, kids either don't care or are too young, a few friends out here are fans but aren't in the weeds so you can only go so far in those convos, the wall doesn't talk back nearly enough, and most twitter engagement is a dumpster fire (great place for the info, s*** place to discuss the info).

I prefer keeping Dinwiddie at the minimum over CP3 if Dinwiddie is willing to take that. But would be fine with CP3 on a minimum in general. I thought he played pretty well in his role for the Warriors.
