Jimmy does seem to be angling for his next stop for some reason. Maybe he didn't like hearing Riley say he should shut his trap if he wasn't playing.

Clever by the Knicks, if true. Him and Brunson ain't the formula. If they can trade Randle for a scoring forward and someone convince Thibo to play their players less than 40+ minutes every night, Knicks can be a true contender

Grant would fit really nice with them. And they could possibly add Brogdon too in that deal.

i think both okc and ny need to be calling utah about markkanen. both have the need and the assets to get it done.

austin rivers says redick will make a great HC

i think that's enough reason not to hire him

Not having AD on his top 10 defensive list and his take on past players, especially Larry bird makes me question his bball knowledge.

Yeah he fits perfect with either. Insane fit with OKC particularly with their lack of shooting and their stars' age. But last I heard, Utah wanted to keep Lauri and build around him. They're in a weird limbo though, so who knows. I don't think Lauri is a future superstar, but definitely a complementary star. Don't think you should build around those. They have Keyonte George and Kessler, some potential but kinda meh, doubt they become all stars.

If I'm OKC I'm sending like 5 picks (they have 20 something) and Giddey and whatever else to Utah, make them an offer they can't refuse. Lauri there and OKC is scary. Lauri expires this next season, Chet and Jalen expire the season after. With the cap spike, they could make it work if they're willing to pay this time. SGA is locked for the next 3 seasons for less than 40M and Dort same time for 17M (a MLE in a couple years).
I'm really curious to see what OKC does, I think their window is now, you always have to maximize rookie and 1st extension contracts like GS did.

I think players speak to what they know. As a shooter and a guard, this doesn't really surprise me. But as a coach, I'm sure he'll have a whole new appreciation for his bigs no matter where he lands.

Noooo to CP3 too little too late like 10 years
Would rather get Klay if he agree to sign minimum contract

Klay is still going to be kind of expensive. Maybe we could get him with the 12.9 MLE. He could start at small forward for us.

Yeah, Klay's not gettable for anywhere near either of those figures.

    He's leaving GS

He's going to Disney World for the bag. Pincus threw out a figure of $27m a year in article I linked above.

CP3 would be totally fine off the bench. For the minimum, of course, and lots of load management.

The only consolation in having to root for Chris Paul on my team next season is I know we aren’t winning the title, so at least he will remain ringless.

I'm all for it! Anything to see the Clippers lose one of their stars for nothing because they're playing hardball. Also if Morey has indications that's how it's going to play out he's less likely to get cute by drafting Bronny trying to lure Bron there. I don't think Bron is leaving, I'm more coming from not wanting to give up more assets than needed to trade up to get Bronny because Morey wants to be an a**

clips are in a tough place there.

if i'm morey, i'm definitely offering george the max. the window with embiid is right now. and you can get PG without giving up any assets other than cap space? and they'll still have a 13 million slot and an 8 million slot to grab a couple more guys. philly's also owed the clips' unprotected 2028 pick, i think, so this is extra spicy.

for the clips, you can trump the offer by a bit, but there's already bad blood. best bet is to ask morey if he's willing to work three ways or generate a TE--PG opts in, gets traded, signs extension immediately, something like that. there might be some ways to come out ok. in fact, if their gm is really sharp, they might end up better off. the disaster scenario is if PG opts out and walks into space. yikes. and also, delicious.

ALL the Load Management- just save him for the last two weeks of the regular season because if not, he will be broken by playoffs.

lol, i'm in the minority that would be ok with cp3. his antics are awful, but he's still a useful nba player. there likely won't be a better pg at the vet min next year, injuries/age considered. if lebron's friendship with him can bring him on board, he can help the team, imo.
