    yeah, just saw that. i'm pretty bummed that he never really got reconciled with the franchise. he's a laker icon, and at the end, that relationship seemed bad.

    Yeah. That relationship was in a very bad state.

    I still expect us to celebrate his life but I hate that they weren't able to repair that rift.

    As a kid I was fortunate enough to see Jerry play his last few years.Although he wasn’t prime Jerry his basketball IQ was still on full display.RIP Logo

    I noticed Jerry’s face looked a bit thinner when he was interviewed among the attendees at Kobe’s trophy unveiling but must have mistaken it for him looking healthier and dropping a few pounds and working out. Damn what a shocker. RIP Jerry.

    so is the story now that butler wants an extension and miami is (justifiably) reticent, thus looking to maybe trade him?

    what would gs be offering? wiggins and paul?

    i do know that if i'm miami, i don't want to deal with an unhappy butler. that guy can be a menace. i also don't want to be paying him 60 million when he's 38 years old.

    anyway, i'd figure miami would pull some three-way where they get some other star they want and move butler into philly's cap space or something. miami doesn't strike me as likely to just take gs's junk to get out of the jimmy situation.
