    It's not above average. It's top 5.

6/70 is pretty much the same as 8/100. Difference is 850k a year lol

I think paying top 5 salary for a guy who was never in the NBA is ridiculous

its not like the lakers would've known what was going through hurley's head. they likely saw him as sign of stability post-lebron and that's why they were willing to pay him that much. with how the FO has a reputation for being cheap, i don't see how this makes them look bad

the only thing that'd make them look bad in this scenario is woj originally claiming that they were going to make a "life changing" offer, but like i said, the FO already has a reputation for being cheap

ABC’s exclusive broadcast of the Boston C Bags victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, June 9, was the most-watched NBA Finals Game 2 in five years, according to Fast Nationals from Nielsen. Game 2 averaged 12,063,000 viewers and peaked with 14,106,000 viewers at 10 p.m. ET to make it the best since 2019.

Sunday’s Game 2 audience grew 10 percent from Game 1.

trends. monty williams got 13, budenholzer 10. the average salary (really, modal) for a coach is about 8 right now but will be 10 within 2 years, imo.

if you want to lure a guy from a very comfortable job, you have to pay. and not slightly above what he's getting.

ironically, my wife and i were just talking about what it would take for us to leave our comfortable jobs. it was a lot more than i make now.

Awesome idea! Been saying for years, 90% of the reviewing plays can be called in 10s

Saw what certainly must be easily doable review technology in a Dodger game couple days ago. Right fielder for LA, playing in Yankee Stadium, I think Hernandez, made a sliding catch of a short fly ball with his glove right on the grass. The ball hit the very edge of his mitt and did a short skip into the pocket. Looking at all the angles in slow motion they all looked like it could also have skipped into his mitt off the grass as well, except one. That angle seemed to show a tiny sliver of the black of his glove between the white of the ball and the green of the turf as it also followed super close to the edge of his mitt into the pocket, at that angle. But then that angle zoomed like 200% more in and was still sharp and clear, as all these major events have to be using good 4K cameras now .... and then in a smooth moving but definite frame by frame analysis showed that tiniest of gaps separating the ball from the grass. Think toes on foul lines or other too close for naked eye to call even on slow mo. Pick the best angle as quickly as possible and then zoom it in that much with a smooth, well paced frame by frame. Should be some button in their consoles they can just push for that effect.

That sounds strangely exciting LOL. I times of sports-related despair, we at least have the technological revolution to look forward to :D.

what they need to do is give teams a second challenge if they win the first

You should not be penalized for the refs missing something. I'm in favor of the team keeping the challenge AND the timeout if the challenge is successful.

Also you should be able to challenge non calls that were missed.

That's hard to do. Imagine the foul on PJ this last game, where White gets a block, they go out in transition and score a bucket. There's time on the clock running and points scored, what do you do? You go back in time and take the points? That's not cool

Do you stop the clock if a team challenges? Teams can use that to stop a fast break even if there's no call to be reviewed. Not cool either.

I get it but I think it's hard to implement
They do that now. But if you still win the 2nd, you're out of challenges and still lose the timeout.

For me they should keep the challenge every time a team gets it right.
