it's one game, but it's what i feared. luka can't beat boston by himself.

 

Best way to beat Boston is through a powerful center. Mavs are heavy guarded, playing perfectly to Boston strengths.
They won it on defense,Dallas was never getting to their shots comfortably

And then they just make it rain from 3. It's hard to handle

 

yeah, denver might have been able to beat boston this year, but probably nobody else.

 

if kyrie had just had a decent game and they had made more of their 3s, it would've been close. also, porzingis is not going to have another first half like that again

 

the mavs can and will shoot better, but i didn't like the matchup before the finals, and i don't like it now. dallas could beat basically any other team with the way they've been playing. but boston plays a style that is resistant to what dallas does on both ends, imo. no other team can turn doncic into a scorer and not have him just drop 50 on them and snap them out of it.

 

If Kyrie comes up that weak the whole series do we now call him Kyrie Choking?

C Bags are a better defending and more physical team, like Denver on DLO, and it's tougher. Not saying Kyrie's not the quicker and better athlete. We'll see. Am rooting for Mavs so Go Kyrie!!

 

kyrie playing their guys is more like murray having to go up against minny's perimeter defenders, i think.

kyrie's better than murray, but boston's two guards are the best defensive tandem in the league, maybe by a wide margin.

still, the whole point of a kyrie is that you can't guard him in isolation. if anyone can, his team is in trouble.
