Dallas, like most teams in this situation, got up 30+ points and just stopped playing, essentially went prevent. Minnesota have cut it to 24 and look to have some life, but you still have to think Dallas closes this out. In conclusion, F*** Boston.

It pains me to say this, but god damn… Boston is a well built roster right now who will give the Mavs problems.

The thing about Boston which makes them dangerous is they have so much depth and “star in their roles” players.

Tatum is as good as any superstar to get you a bucket when needed. Jaylen Brown is an allstar 2-way guard. Jrue Holiday is still one of the best perimeter defenders in the league.
Porzingis is their 4th best player and he could make an All Star team if he’s on any other team. Derrick White is a very good 2-way guard and is incredible if he’s your teams 5th best player.

Their bench is capable, Horford can still play in a limited role, Hauser is a nice 3pt specialist, and Payton Pritchard is fine.

They built their roster well, Luka/Kyrie are gonna have to go “all time legendary performance” mode multiple times for the Mavs to have a chance of defeating the Cbags.

Just kind of a random observation: I do like Kuzma's size. He was a big wing; he's like 6'8" or so? Could do a Jerami Grant as well. I've always liked Brogdon. Would definitely like a two way-wing, though.

Portland never has, and never will trade with us. They hate us just as much as we hate Boston.

i had to look it up, and the lakers/blazers have been trade partners twice. once in 1971 and the last time in 1980

the only team they have a longer trade drought with are the kings, who they last traded with in 1977

i expect both will stay that way

    Woike was on Irwin's pod:

He expects Reddish to opt in based on what he's heard and thinks (not as concrete) that Hayes will opt out.

Well, Luka absolutely crushed the Wolves. Set the tone early, outscored their entire team in the first quarter, hitting threes from way outside, but also playng very physical under the basket. The Wolves never recovered after that. Luke is an incredible player, absolute animal!

Good luck to Dallas in the Finals. Boston has a better team, but you never know.

Makes sense, don’t think Reddish would get many other opportunities.

Hayes showed enough flashes of energy to get a deal from somebody else. He wasn’t terrible this year, our roster construction just needed more size than he provides. I don’t expect Hayes could get more than the minimum in free agency, but he could maybe find another team where he’s a better fit and has a better chance at the rotation. Especially if we make it clear to him that even if he chooses to opt in, we’d still be looking to acquire a bigger center and so Hayes would be at the bottom of the depth chart.

287 playoff games for lebron is insane. that's another 3.5 seasons worth of playoff games on top of the 20+ seasons he's already played plus the 08 and 12 olympics (didn't include 04 since he barely played)
